Operation Wolf is a game that must be played with a light gun. Otherwise it's hard to get far in the game. The game is about a soldier that must free hostages from a newly risen communist regime.

If you have a light gun, be prepared to use your other hand for the controller. The controller is used to throw grenades and it might be difficult to find a comfortable setup with the light gun in one hand and the controller in the other.

Operation Wolf is a pretty straightforward shoot 'em up, except for some minute details like the possibility to throw grenades and that some characters may not be shot. The fact that some characters may not be shot is one aspect, but also that at times you must have a shooting frenzy because of the amount of enemies on the screen.

However, I find this game fun to play and I pick it up again every once in a while. I rate the game an eight.
