Never Put Off Putting Food Away When You Have Pets!

That is what I get for saying, "I'll clean from breakfast in a little bit."

My smart aleck dog, Lucky, stole the rest of a 2# bag of shredded mozzerella cheese and ate the last of it. There was about a half pound to a pound left in it. When I tried to take the bag away from him, he refused to take his face out. So I only got it away once I had up where he had to lift his chin to keep licking it.

And this came less than an hour after he had his breakfast! I swear, this dog is a walking garbage disposal. The only thing that keeps me from becoming truly angry with him is that he is so cute and he acts as though doing stuff like this is completely normal for a dog to do. He probably figures that since he sees us people in my family eating this stuff, it must be better than his dog food and treats.

I love this crazy mutt; he's my baby.

Finished!!!

I have now been officially finished with school for a week now!:D I actually managed to finish both my course work and internship on the same day. Graduation is in May, but now I am biding my time with my current job until something comes up with my resume. Hopefully, I'll start getting hits on it soon.

I hope everyone had a good St. Patrick's Day and Easter.

Hopefully, the rest of the tv season will end as well as it restarted.

Bye for now

I'm Still Around (Unfortunately for you)

Hi, everyone! I know I haven't been on much these last few months, but I've been really busy lately. I can't even remember the last time that I was on here!lol Work and school have kept me very busy, especially this term. I was working some crazy and late hours at Christmas time (I hope everyone enjoyed it and New Year's), and now I am in my final term for school. I only have courses two days a week, but I started my internship last month. Between the those two activities and working, I have very little time for computer playtime (as I like to call it).

I have been interning with the Rhode Island Historical Preservation & Heritage Commission (try and say that five times fast!), and it has been a really fun and interesting experience. Even though I only have two days of courses, there is a lot of work with them. I am taking Business Ethics, Supervisory Management, and an Internship course.

Ethics has consisted of a few paper, but we have to base them on videos watched in course meeting time and lecture notes. Our final paper, the instructor is basically making these last few course meetings lab time to work on because we about 50 pages to read and a 20 minute video online to watch. Supervisory Management has involved a lot of in course meeting assignments that we are allowed to finish at home, chapter discussion questions that require us to really understand the material and not just memorize it, and a final project on a person of our choosing from the 50 most powerful women list in Forbes magazine.

Now, I don't know how other colleges do theirs, but not only do Gibbs students intern for different companies, but we have to attend an internship course as well. The internship itself is 60% of the grade, and the rest is based on a mock interview, portfolio of our work throughout our time at Gibbs, a log of what we do on our internships, and a paper on the whole experience.

For my portfolio, I had go and dig up all folders for the last year and a half to find everything I need. From doing my portfolio, I can see why the instructor wants us to have them. When we are on job interviews, not only can we tell prospective employers what we can do, we can back it up with proof from our work at school. After I bought the portfolio case I wanted, I actually felt a slight difference in my self, like a little more professional, but that just could have been my mind playing tricks on me.

But 2 weeks to go, and I am a graduate! I can't wait!

EVERYBODY HAVE A VERY HAPPY ST. PADDY'S DAY! ENJOY THE CORNED BEEF AND CABBAGE!

HELP!!! Please!

I have been trying to put up a banner and an image for my profile. I finally photoshopped the banner image to within the correct specifications, it won't show the uploaded image.  And I don't konw what to do about the pictures I have been trying to work with.  I got one down to the absolute smallest size I could make it, and it is still too big.  Can anyone tell what I can do about this? I would truly appreciate it.  Thanks

Puppies and Powerpoint

This ought to be interesting.  I'm taking Powerpoint in my computer **** and I have to do a final presentation next week.  So, I decided to do my presentation about my two dogs.  I wrote a paper about a trip to the vet's office with them last term in my writing ****  So this will be be pretty fun to do.  They are very entertaining individuals.

Especially Lucky, he created an enemy in our pet ferret.  He did this by stickiing his head in Damien's cage one time.  Ever since, Damien just wants to destroy the dingbat.  If Lucky comes near him when he's out of his cage, Damien screams and lunges at Lucky.

Tasha is mostly a prissy little girl.  She likes lounging around on her bed and looking pretty.  She does like to get Lucky going though and make him run around like a nut.  But that may just be so that she can laugh about the way he acts like a dope.

I can't wait to finish this project and be done with it though.  As much as I love my dogs, I don't like doing presentations.

Work and TV

Having a job is great where it allows you to pay your bills.  But it sucks when you have to miss your favorite tv shows because of it.

Every week since December I have not been able to watch Criminal Minds because I have had to work every stinkin' Wednesday night.  And I can't get anyone to tape it for me at home.

Does anyone know where I can try and download it or watch it online?

In the mean time, enjoy the show everyone.  I will be seeing what all of you say about in the forums.

Seems like a rough summer.

I just read a couple of Logan's (imajazzbandnerd) blogs, and it made me think of this. It nothing like what happened to her father's volleyball teammate or the crocodile hunter.

Not too long ago one of my coworkers lost his sister and neice to a violent crime. The neice had been 20 years old. They had been shot in the head (along with the sister's boyfriend) by her ex-boyfriend. He went to their apartment and shot them, then tried to hide the gun under a mattress in there. The niece died in surgery, but my coworker and his family had to decide whether or not to have the machines keeping his sister alive turned off. It was an awful time for him. So, my store manager went and took a collection for him. He had everyone who donated money sign a card as well so that our friend would know who helped him and his family out. When he came back to work, the manager gave him the card and money, and our friend was very grateful.

Everyone in my store are wonderful, and we are all very close to each other. We are like family to each other. So it greatly distressed us to hear about the attacks. We practically waited on pins and needles for updates for his family, but things never looked hopeful.

But this is why I titled my blog entry this way.

Office Prayer

I was cleaning my room a couple days ago, when I found this little bit of humor I printed from my e-mail. I think that anybody (especially anyone with a job dealing with the general public) can find the humor in it:). So here it is the Office Prayer:P:

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

The courage to change the things I cannot accept,

And the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people I had to kill today because the pi**ed me off.

And also, help me to be careful of the toes I step on today as they may be attached to the a** that I might have to kiss tomorrow.

I hope you all enjoy this:D.
