Lost and Invasion Again?

Well, I missed Invasion last week. Lost was a repeat, so I stayed distracted probably watching "Rune Soldier" and "Those Who Hunt Elves". Lost is nearly over for tonight in the next few minutes. Then comes "Invasion." I can't believe that I am on the last DVD of the "Rune Soldier" series. ADV still does a good job of character development and definitely lives up to their excellent reputation. I don't have cable, but the "Anime Network" looks pretty good. Uh-oh, Lost looks like its going to end on a wild one. I wasn't quite looking for that!! Next week looks good - there wil be an extended version. Probably shoots down "Invasion" though. Such is life.

Lost and Invasion

Last night was one of my two TV nights. Lost still intrigues. Invasion moved slowly compared to recent weeks. I hear it is a better show than Surface. I'm still giving Invasion a chance. Tonight is my night for Alias and Kolchak. They were both interesting. Alias continues to be a good show despite the significant change in characters. We lose one major player and gain 2. Oh well, we'll see how that pans out.

Lost Season 2 and Invasion

I watched Lost and Invasion tonight. I still haven't finished my season 1 of Lost set yet. In spite of this I am still keeping up with Season 2 of Lost. Invasion continues to get interesting, but I'm not sure if I'll be sticking with it through the whole season. I am still waiting for Point Pleasant to come out on DVD. Are you listening Fox? I plan to watch Alias and Night Stalker tomorrow night. Alias continues to please and Night Stalker has lots of potential.

Weekly viewing

I can hardly wait for 24 to come back for the new season. In the meantime, I am watching "Lost" and "Invasion" on Wednesdays and "Alias" and "Night Stalker" on Thursdays. I did watch eX Driver The Movie on Tuesday 20051004. The DVD has a second feature called Nina and Rei Danger Zone. I am still watching that show. I finished Generator Gawl this past weekend. It was quite a ride. It was worth the time.

Angelic Layer DVD Set

Well, I did get to see the Angelic Layer Complete Set. It is a bit addicting... and good family fare to boot. My teens enjoyed it greatly, and there wasn't anything I had to cut out for their benefit. I have started looking at Azumanga Daioh, but have only finished volume 1 in the complete set. I still have one volume to watch in the Lost Series. Of the 3 shows mentioned in this installment "Lost" is the one not to watch if you're feeling down. The others make you laugh. Well, that's all for today.

Lost Season 1

I purchased the Season 1 DVD set for Lost. It's pretty good, but it doesn't put you in a better mood after a long hard day at work. I didn't get to see it on TV last season. I'm nearly through Season 1. I had to go on and watch the Season 2 operner, so that I wouldn't miss the broadcast. Oh well, sometimes things don't quite time out perfectly. I'll probably talk about the Angelic Layer Complete Collection next time.

Starhunter

I have the Starhunter DVD 2 volume set. It says that it is rated for all ages on the box. There are nude scenes in the first episode on the disk. One more of a medical moment although the male character tries touching in a way that would get you fired if you were at work. There was also a topless dancer in the background in episode 1. The episode with Dante in prison has a woman offering to be his woman and removing her top. I am glad I looked at these before watching it with my children.

Pretear was fun and so was Noir

Yes, I did get the Pretear Complete Collection. Yes it was okay to watch with my teenagers. It does get more interesting as you go along. I also finished Noir since the last posting. Talk about action, without tons of gore! My daughter and I finished Aquarian Age a while back, but my son is only on episode 4 or so. We are still in the middle of Full Metal Panic, and Blue Seed as well. So I still have a full plate. Oh well, that's okay.

Master of Mosquiton watched

Well I finally watched the "Master of Mosqiton" with Hilary Haag, Guil Lunde and Heather Bryson in it. It's a comedy for the most part, but there is the usual seriousness that gets injected in many Anime shows. This is a bit older anime, so it's not as vibrant as Gravion or something like that. Parents should definitely review before allowing children to see it. It has a 13 and older rating from Anime Works. I have found that the ADV rating of 13+ slightly better. For example Slayers has been rated 13+ and I've been able to watch the episodes with my kids without skipping anything. I have found that TV-14 and 15+ ratings with ADV need prior parental review. However, there are a couple of spots in Neon Genesis Evangelion where the raters who gave the 12+ rating were sleeping, I think.

Master of Mosquiton

Is it just a coincidence or what? In the commentary on the Chrono Crusade Volume 1 disk they mentioned that Hilary Haag played in Master of Mosqiton. Within a week or two of hearing the commentary I saw the Master of Mosqiton complete OVA series. It has the ADV familiars of Hilary Haag, Mark Laskowski (he played Jun in Martian Successor Nadesico), Kelly Manison, Andy McAvin, Lew Temple, and Guil Lunde. The DVD release has the Anime Works logo on the outside though. By the way, my son, my daughter and I did finish Volume 1 of Chrono Crusade.
