so my cousin (the same one who got me hooked on svu) got me watching the Secret Life of an American Teenager (we call it 'slat' for short). well, now i'm hooked and i'm really excited for next week's episode. it looks SO good! i decided that tuesdays are the best days ever cuz at 5 on abcfam. slat is on and then in september svu is on nbc at 10! :D moving on...i watched steel magnolias for the first time ever a couple of weeks ago. i cried SO hard, i was like full-out sobbing. it was such a good movie tho, and i decided that maybe sally field isn't so bad. i liked her before she won the emmy last year, and then i got mad cuz it should have been mariska's, but i've decided to forgive her, lol. also, has anyone seen the music video for disturbia by rihanna? its really creepy...i actually can't stand to watch it, but i love the song!

so yesterday was my 17th birthday, and it was amazing! the day started off normal, with me waking up before sunrise, but i took angel food cake w/ strawberries and whipped cream to swim practice for the whole team (sorry i talk about swimming so dam much. its just all i really have going on these days.). it was my coach's b-day too, so i took candles and everything!

then i went home and washed my car (that part of the day sucked), and then i went out to lunch with my mom and step dad. my mom took the day off work from noon on so that she could be with me! she took me to get a massage, which was incredible! i always end up massaging other people so i guess it was my mom's way of evening the score.

after that we went to the mall to shop for purses. the only purse in the entire mall that i liked was like $85! it was rediculously priced, but i loved it and it was 40% off (still WAY too expensive!). so i was joking around w/ my mom, begging her for the dumb thing even though i knew there was no way in h3ll i was gonna get it. that and i really just felt like being a brat (she knew i was kidding though)! lol.

we went to costco afterwards and she bought me pink, yellow, white, and orange-y colored roses and a cheesecake for my party w/ the fam at red robbin. so then i dropped her off to pick up her work car and went to fill up my gas tank. i was very surprised when my mom wasn't home by the time i got there. turns out she went to buy me that purse i wanted (i still can't stop thanking her for it and telling her she didn't have to get it)!

at 6:30 we met the fam at red robbin for dinner, and it was really fun! but of course, my aunt had to embarass me in front of a really attractive waiter, but that's another story, lol. oh and then she (my aunt) made faces at me from across the table cuz she was making fun of the lustful looks my grandma was giving her new husband (those darn newlyweds!). it was hilarious.

so i got the purse, i got roses, i got massaged, and i got butt loads of money cuz nobody knew what to get me. all in all it was prolly the best b-day i've ever had. it kinda made up for my lack of b-day last year!

so i thought i'd just fill everyone in on why i haven't been on here much this summer.

well, my day starts at 4:30 a.m, so i can prepare for my morning swim practice (coach's orders). all the older people on the team (i think there's about 6 or 7 of us) have to do extra work, including cross training. practice starts at 6:00, and since i live so freaking far away from town i have to wake up before the butt crack of dawn. i actually watch the sunrise in my rear-view mirror on the way there.

swimming goes from 6-8 a.m. at our athletic club. at about 8:15 we all go for a mile-and-a-half long run. when we finally get back to the athletic club at around 8:45-ish we lift weights or use work out machines until 10.

at 10 every day the club has different cl***es going on, and so far we have done body combat (its like kick boxing, which is something i totally love doing!), body pump (a super intense weight-lifting cl***, and body flow (a combo of tai chi, yoga, and pilates. also something i love doing!). a lot of the content in all of them is something i'm familiar with because i took a cl*** at school that provided all three exercize techniques. there's supposed to be a new one coming out this week called body attack. just the name of it makes me nervous...it sounds painful. :|

anyway, those cl***es last until 11, so i get home around 11:30 or later depending on traffic. then i eat lunch, shower, etc. and then have chores to take care of around the house (feed the animals, do the laundry, do the dishes, that sort of stuff).

at 3:15 i have to leave the house again for my afternoon practice from 4-5:30 p.m and i get home about 6:15. the good news is that afternoon practices are only on monday's, wednesday's, and friday's! then i eat dinner with the fam and hang out or whatever until about 9:00 (sometimes i take a short hour-long nap too), which is about the time i check out the forums here on tv(dot)com. then i end up going to bed around 10, but can't fall asleep til around 11:30-midnight. and the cycle repeats itself all week, starting at 4:30 in the morning.

so yeah, my schedule is packed! BUT, my birthday is tomorrow (the 8th) and i'm turning 17. so i'm meeting the whole fam at red robbin for dinner and then my cousin and i are going to a rated r movie, and i won't even have to sneak in!!! it's exciting.

oh! and yesterday i dropped off my sister at summer camp, which is where i used to work. i saw so many of my (former) co-workers there that i wanted to cry, because i hadn't seen them in like a year and as much as i wanted to work there this summer i just couldn't. :cry: i have to focus more on swimming this summer, so i can't work there this year. so i decided to go back to next year for sure! and 2 of my friends/former co-workers married eachother! its totally adorable.

funny story...i had to fill in last year for the hike leader at camp, so i got to carry this radio with me so i could contact the camp director/administrators/nurse if something happened to a camper. and i also had to radio in at certain points during hike to let everyone know that things were going smoothly. so automatically i thought, yes! i could be all svu-like when i radio in! yeah, well that didn't work out so well. all camp staff has their own camp name and mine was bubbles. the person i had to contact's name was sunshine. so our radio conversations were more like a care bears movie (i love those movies!) than svu. when i talked to her the first thing i had to say was, this is bubbles to sunshine! :P haha...it was fun tho.

okay, so as some of you may have read in the "you know you've seen too much svu when..." thread, there is a rapist prowling my 'neighborhood'. we didn't know he was a rapist at first, but my mom found out about it yesterday when she found out who the guy was.

so this guy comes up to peoples' houses and asks if they would like to have their trees trimed back and other yard work stuff done. he goes to houses that are in low traffic areas, and since we practically live in the middle of nowhere that means that he's "working" in our 'neighborhood'. he comes back later and breaks into the house to steal things. and he's a registered sex offender, so he occasionally rapes people too. well, isn't that just lovely.

he went to my aunt and uncle's house one day last week when my uncle was at work. my cousin told my aunt that some creepy looking guy was coming to their door, and my aunt told her to answer it. well, my cousin hadn't known about the whole thing so she called my aunt to the door and told her the man wanted to know if they wanted their yard work done. then the pervert asked her(my aunt) if her husband was home. she was like,"um..he's in the field cutting hay, but he should be back really soon." as soon as he left my aunt took my cousin and showed her how to turn on their house alarm.

my aunt also got the license plate # on his truck and called my step dad, who later discovered that it was a stolen vehicle. somehow or another my mom found out who he is and printed a picture of his mug shot from 3 years ago so she could make copies for all the 'neighbors'. i took the pic to my aunt's house and asked her if that was him, and it was. his name is jose, hence the title of this post.

his pic scares me so bad! when i took it to my aunt's house i had to put it face-down so that i didn't have to look at it while i was driving! and i'm home alone all day with my little sister every weekday, so i freaked out last night and only got 3 hours of sleep. i was scared that while i was asleep something could happen and i wouldn't know, because i sleep like the dead. and my bedroom is downstairs, so if he broke in upstairs he could get to my sister without me even knowing anything was going on. OR, he could break in downstairs and get to me without anyone else knowing. idk, my mom said i shouldn't worry about it too much because he hasn't been on our street, just the ones near it. BUT I'M STILL CREEPED OUT ABOUT IT!!!

so if this guy comes to my door, i'll just say,"no way jose, hit the road!" lol. actually, i'd prolly grab my sis and hide downstairs while calling 911. no way in H-E-L-L would i answer that damn door! NO. WAY (jose, lol). so yeah, that's what's goin' on here in my wonderful little 'neighborhood'.

p.s. i call it my 'neighborhood' because where i live, everyone in the general area is a neighbor. my closest neighbor is like 4-5 acres away from our house.

oh, goodness. last week was a crazy one! you already know about the cell phone going off during finals, school getting out, and that i had a swim meet over the week end....

first, let me just say that i am SO exhasted! those things (swim meets) can really wear a person out! and i got really sun burned, which never happens....never. i have been wearing my step dad's huge shirts and my sweats for about 4 days now. i've never had to wear sunscrean in my life, and now i'm constantly slathering it on. the worst part is that when this is all over, i'll have a goggle tan line! its gonna suck. my mom went to the store and came back with a bag-full of sun burn treatments for me to use. awww....isn't that sweet? on a happier note, i got some ribbons, and one of them was first place! it was for the 400 IM in a long course pool! and the good news is that my splits (per 100) were close to the actual times in each individual event! sorry for all the swimmer lingo. if you have any questions/even care what it all means, then just ask.

then some of the girls on the team stayed at my house during the meet. one of the girls kept bringing up the guy i like. yes, the one who's on the team and that i also go to school with. she wouldn't shut up about him! he's like 4 yrs older than her (she's 13) but she kept on saying how attractive he is, but how "he's such a jerk!" yeah, she doesn't know i like him, and i never said he wasn't a jerk. but hey, he's nice to me so i'm not whining about it! lol. then she was like,"do you think he likes emily? i think he has a little thing for her. you should ask if he likes emily!" it got really old really fast!

in other news...

my neice just celebrated her 1st birthday! my mom's birthday is the same day, and guess what my step dad got her?! a nintendo wii!!! its so awesome! you can make your own person that looks like you and pretty much is you. its called a 'mii' lol. and i gotta tell ya, mine looks just like me!

so i don't know if i'm going to keep posting blogs. i think i get an average of one comment per post. of course that could be because i only have 2 friends on here lol. wow, i'm totally pathetic. so umm...anyone wanna be my friend? hahaha.

lets see, what else do i have to talk about....only 3 weeks until i turn 17! when i was looking for a gift for my mom i kept pointing things out to my little sister so she could buy me something good. she had to keep reminding me that we were there for our mom, not me. i'm never usually excited about my birthday, but this year i am. i don't know why tho. last year when everyone else was having a sweet sixteen party i was having lunch at red robbin with the fam. it was really nice tho, don't get me wrong. it was actually all what i wanted at the time so i can't exactly complain, can i?

well i guess that about does it. i don't really have much else to say. or type, whatever, lol. this is what happens when i'm bored. i just go on and on and on and on and on...i think you get the point. now i'm extremely tired so i'm gonna try and get some z's. later!

kay, so i don't know what to title this one. i'm just extremely bored! um...i got out of school yesterday, so i'm officially a senior in high school! now i'm feeling a whole bunch of different emotions; excited, nervous, stressed, sad....

oh yeah, and during my psychology final on monday my mom decided to text message me, so my phone went off cuz i forgot to put it on vibrate! it was so embarassing cuz her ringtone is "lets get it on" by marvin gaye (its one of her fav songs, so she asked me to make it her ringtone) :oops: ! everyone started laughing, and one of my aquintances(sp?) was like,"BOOTY CALL!!!!" my teacher laughed at me and asked who it was so i told him the truth (i should have said it was a fling, dang it!). thats almost as bad as the time it went off in trig and played "my goodies" by cierra! ha! good times, good times....

umm...so i have this huge swim meet this week end from friday to sunday. which brings me to the topic of boys. they are so confusing and frustrating! i really like this guy on my swim team, but he sends me mixed signals. he's like the least shy guy at my school, but we have this c***s together and he sits in the row to my left, and up a few seats. so one day the girl that sits in front of him goes,"hey jfaithg, (insert name) wants to know if you're going to the meet this week end." so then i was thinking, he's sitting closer to me than you, why doesn't he ask me himself? but he talks to me at swim practice, so why is it such a problem at school? can he only talk to me when i'm half naked or something?! wtf?! that doesn't even make sense! one day in history i asked him if he was going to be at Wine Country (the name of the meet on friday) and he was like,"yeah, i'm going. i don't want to go." then he turned around and walked out of c***s just like that! it makes me so frustrated :x he'll occasionally ask me for gum or something, but as a last resort. maybe he doesn't like me and just talks to me when he has to. so i guess i'm just making a big deal out of nothing. but then why do i always catch him staring at me? i only catch him cuz i'm staring at him too, but that's besides the point. damnit! i'm confusing myself! i'm just gonna shut up now.

last night there was a carrie underwood concert where i live, and my friend just happened to have an extra ticket so i got to go!!! and josh turner opened for her. it was so AWESOME! after the concert i lost my voice 'cause i was screaming SO much! it was funny because there was this one time that she was talking to the audiance (sp?) about the lyrics to one of her songs. it says the more boys i meet, the more i love my dog! :lol: haha, i thought that was hilarious! then she sang "last name" and afterwards she was like, "for all the children out there, i'd like you to know i would NEVER do those things. do as i do, not as i sing." so pretty much the concert was great, and now i have to go kiss up to my friend for like.......the rest of my life! but now i'm really tired because i went to bed late and woke up at the butt crack of dawn, but it was totally worth the exahstion and loss of voice! :D
