            “The truth about what?”

            “About how I feel, I was never acting; I’ve liked you ever since you started working here. I want to be your girlfriend. I love you Esteban, Maddie doesn’t like you can’t you just date me instead, at least I like you.”

            “I’m sorry I can’t date someone I don’t like.”

            “Please Esteban. I really love you.”

            “Guess we could try even though I don’t really like you. Maybe after a couple dates I will like you.”

            “Thank you Esteban.”

            “The winner of this year’s battle of the bands is M, J, Z and C” (Maddie’s band, I couldn’t think of any other names.)

            “We won!” Maddie yelled and kissed Jackson.

            “I know I can’t believe it.”

            “When are you leaving tonight?”

            “Dad wanted one last date with Ms. Martin so we are leaving tomorrow instead.”

            “Really?”

            “Yes!”

            “Can I show you something?”
            “Sure, what?”

            “It’s not in here, come on.” She took his hand and led him out of the ballroom. She stopped short in the lobby when she saw London and Esteban kissing on the couch. She led him out the door and around to the back of the hotel and went into the little patch of woods behind the hotel.

            “Where are you taking me?”

            “To the dark.”

            “But I ‘m afraid of the dark.”

            “Really?”

            “No.”

            “Come on we’re almost there…” She led him through the trees. And stopped when it was so dark you could barely see anything. Using the light of the moon Maddie slipped her shoes off and began to run.

            “Where are you going?”

            “To catch lightening bugs.”

            “Lightening bugs?”

            “Yeah, it’s the only place you can find them in the whole city.”

            “Why did you take your shoes off?”

            “Because my feet were killing me.”

(The next day)

            Maddie and Jackson lay under a tree asleep. Maddie’s head was sitting on Jackson’s chest (I got this idea form princess diaries 2 one of my favorite movies) Maddie woke up and saw Jackson. She sat up.

            “We stayed out all night!”

            “Huh?”

            “We stayed out all night! Our parents are going to kill us!”

            “Your right let’s hurry up and get back to the hotel.”

            They ran back to the hotel as fast as they could and when they got there everyone was waiting for them.

            “Maddie, Jackson, where have you been?” Robby asked.

            “We went out last night to catch lightening bugs, and we were walking back and we sat down to rest and we must have fell asleep.” Maddie explained.

            “You promise?” Mr.Moseby questioned.

            “You know Maddie she wouldn’t tell a lie.” Carey said covering for her friend.

            “I guess you’re right Maddie wouldn’t lie.” Mr.Moseby agreed.

            “Well we got a plane to catch. Let’s go Jackson.” He turned to Carey, “Bye Carey.” He kissed her and turned to leave.

            “Bye Maddie, I’ll miss you.”

            “I’ll miss you too.” He kissed her and left.

            A tear slid down her cheek and she wiped it away before it could hit the floor. Carey hugged her and let her cry on her shoulder.

(Zack and Cody’s suite)

            Maddie had nothing to tell Carey, but she had insisted that she come and talk to her about it.

            “I know you liked Jackson, but at least now you have Esteban.”

            “Esteban? He doesn’t like me. He likes London they’ve been dating since Jackson came.”

            “Exactly, Since Jackson came. He doesn’t like London, he likes you Maddie. He’s pretending to date London to make you jealous.”

            “How do you know he likes me?”

            “Well he talks abut you a lot and stares at you even more.”
            “Why London say he didn’t like me, she said he loved her.”

            “Because she loves him.”

            “How do you know this?”

            “Talk travels fast when everyone is in the Lobby waiting for a teenage girl and a teenage boy to come back from where ever they are.”

            “ So he really likes me?”

            “Yeah.”

            “I’ve got to tell him.”

            “You might want to hurry, he said that he’s quitting today because he thinks he made a fool of himself by liking you.”

            “I’ve got to hurry, bye.” She ran as fast as she could. She didn’t even wait on the elevator she just ran down the stairs.

(Jackson and Miley’s suite)

            “Dad! I need you to write me a song fast!” Jackson yelled running.

            “You can’t write a song fast, son.” Robby Ray said.

            “Well can you write a romance song for Maddie and me to sing at the battle of the bands?”

            “You’re going to sing in public?” Miley said coming out of the bathroom her hair in a towel.

            “I’m doing it for Maddie.” He told her.

            “Wow, you really like this girl.”
            “Duh!” 

            “Okay, son, I’ll write you a song to sing with Maddie.”

            “Thanks Dad.”

            “Jackson, Is Maddie blonde?”

            “Yeah, Why?”

            “That explains it. She’s dating you because she’s a dumb blonde.”

            “Hannah Montana is Blonde.”

            “I know but she’s not a dumb blonde. Only a dumb blonde would date you.”

            “That’s not funny.”

            “I’m not trying to be funny I’m just telling the truth.”

            “Okay you wanna know the truth? I really like Maddie and she seems to really like me. I don’t care if you make fun of me because; I will never see her again after the battle of the bands because we’re leaving that night. I just want to make the best of the time we have together. Now if you don’t mind I’m going to go help her think of a name for our band.”

            “How about the Blondes? Or the Lovebirds?”

            “Whatever I’m going back down stairs see ya.”

(In the lobby)

            Maddie was scribbling on a piece of paper ideas for names for the band.

            “Hey Maddie, how’s it going?” London asked.

            “Well, I and Jackson are entering in the battle of the bands and I’m trying to think of a name for our band.”

            “Cool, how’s it going with Jackson.”

            “Okay.  How’s it going with you and Esteban?”

            “Really good, we’re going out again tonight.”

            “London, promise you won’t take this the wrong way?”

            “Sure.”

            “I’m kind of jealous of you and Esteban. I don’t like him, but…” she was silent for a moment, “I do, I do like him.”

            “Well he doesn’t like you,” London lied, “He loves me and he always will. He will never love you. You shouldn’t be jealous. You have Jackson and I have Esteban. You shouldn’t get every guy you like.”

            “Okay,” she felt her eyes fill with tears, her vision blurred, “You’re right I don’t deserve every guy I like I’m not beautiful, I don’t deserve the guy I like, at least I have Jackson. He’s nice and sweet. I really like him too, maybe not as much as Esteban but at least he likes me back, besides it’s not true live unless you are loved back.” Finally a tear slipped down her cheek and landed on the candy counter.

            “See ya Maddie.” London walked off to Esteban and kissed him.

            “What did she say?”

            “She said that her and Jackson truly like each other, I’m sorry, we can keep trying to get her jealous if you want.”

            “No, I think that if she doesn’t like me then I should just give up on the fact of us ever being together. We don’t have to pretend anymore.”

            “Esteban, I need to tell you the truth…”

            What will happen next? Will she tell him the truth about Maddie or about the way she feels read the next chapter to find out. Sorry I love cliff hangers.

(The next day)

            Maddie came in through the revolving door and saw Esteban and London sitting close on the couch talking. She couldn’t hear what they were saying but she really didn’t care what they were talking about. She walked over to the candy counter and began to set up the candy counter but she kept her eyes on London and Esteban the whole time. She watched as London scooted over on to Esteban’s lap and kissed him sweetly. She was filled with an extremely strange feeling every time she saw them kiss. She tried to shake away the feeling but she was not successful.

(Later that day)

            Maddie still hadn’t been able to shake the feeling off. She wanted to tell Carey but she was afraid that the feeling would be mistaken fro Jealousy. So she continued to keep the feeling inside, bottled up, but she knew if she didn’t let it out soon she would explode.

(Two days later)

            “Next week we will be holding battle of the bands here just like last year.” Mr.Moseby announced to the staff and some of the guests, “I hope some of you will participate. Zack, Cody don’t have a replay of last time please.”

            “Yes Mr.Moseby.” the twins said in unison. Mr.Moseby left and the guest and staff began to talk about the upcoming contest.

            “Maddie can you sing?” Jackson asked Maddie.

            “Yeah, I competed last year in the life guards band water works, but he left.”

            “Do you want to compete with me? I can play guitar and you can sing.”

            “Sure, but we need more than two people to be a band. Who can we get to join in with us?”

            “Do you know anyone?”

            “Zack and Cody can play instruments.”

            “Which ones?”

            “Guitar and keyboard.”
            “We don’t need two guitar players.”

            “You’re right. Can you sing?”

            “ME? No, okay I can but nobody knows except for my sister and my dad.”

            “And now me?”

            “Yeah. You.”

            “So would you be willing to sing with me?”

            “I’d do anything for you Maddie.”

            “Okay. Are we going to sing an original song or one that’s already been written?”

            “I can get my Dad to write us a song.”

            “Sounds great.”

            “What are we going to call our band?”

            “I don’t know. How about you think about a name and I will go tell my dad that I need a song written.”

            “Okay, I can do that.”

            “See ya.” HE leaned forward and gave her a quick kiss and ran off.

(Still at the concert)

            Maddie looked at Esteban and London kissing.

            “Jackson,” she said. He turned around and Maddie scooted toward him and made herself comfortable in his arms.

            “Maddie, do you careifIkissyou?” he asked quickly afraid she might say no.
            “No Jackson, I don’t care.” He held her close and kissed her sweetly.

            Esteban pulled away from London and regained his composure. Great, I’m not making her jealous she really likes him. Maybe I should drop the act and just tell her. He thought to himself.

(Back at the hotel the next day)

            “I think I should just tell Maddie that I like her, maybe she’d dump Jackson if I told her.”

            “No! I mean no, that’s not a good idea, because she really likes him and the only way to get her to dump him is with jealousy.” Besides I like pretending that we’re dating, she thought.

            “Okay if you say so.”

            Maddie walked in the door and saw London and Esteban talking. She watched as London stole a kiss and snuggled up against him. Esteban left to work. And London walked over to the candy counter.

            “Isn’t Esteban so cute?”

            “Not as cute as Jackson.”

            “You know you like Esteban.”

            “No! I mean no, I don’t like Esteban.”

            “Okay, I gotta go buh-bye.”

            “See you.” London walked off to the elevator and Jackson came out of the elevator.

            “Hey Maddie.” 

            “Hey Jackson.”

            “I had a lot of fun last night.”

            “Me too.” Jackson leaned forward and kissed her lightly and she blushed.

(Meanwhile, in the ballroom)

            “Hey Robby” Carey said smiling.

            “Hey Carey, I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me tonight.”

            “Yeah, we can go out tonight.”

            “I’ll pick you up at your suite at 5.”

            “Okay.” Carey blushed and they began to work on their duets they were planning on doing.

(4:45)

            “Oh my gosh Robby’s going to pick me up in fifteen minutes.” Carey said jumping up and down.

            “Mom relax or you are going to scare him and he won’t ever want to hang out with you again.” Cody said.

            “Okay, cool down Carey, cool down.”

            “Mom, you’re talking to yourself again.” Zack pointed out.

            “Okay, I’ll stop talking all together until Robby picks me up.”

            A few moments later there was a knock at the door.

            “Oh my gosh, oh my gosh he’s here what do I do.”

            “Mom it’s probably Maddie coming to watch us.”

            “You’re probably right.” She walked to the door and opened it.

“Hey Carey, you don’t mind if a friend comes over do you?”

“No, I don’t care if London comes over.”

“I didn’t mean London. I wanted my friend Jackson to come over.”

“A guy?”

“Yeah we were going to hang out tonight but I canceled because I needed to baby-sit cuz I need a little money.”

“Okay I guess he can come over.”

(5:00)

            There was a knock on the door.

            “Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, He’s here,” she shook Maddie’s shoulder’s, “What do I do, what do I do.”

            “How about open the door.”

            “Good Idea.”

            She pulled the door open. “Hi Robby.” She smiled.

            “Hi Carey, I was thinking we go out to eat and then to the movies.”

            “Okay.”

(5:30)

            There was a knock on the door and Maddie got up to answer the door. Jackson was standing at the door holding a bouquet of daisies.

            “Oh, those are beautiful thank you Jackson.”

            “You’re welcome.” He kissed her and sat down on the couch.

            “Zack, Cody why don’t you go in your room and play.”

            “Why so you can make out with Jackson?” Zack asked.

            “No, I need to tell him something.”

            “Okay we’ll go.” Cody said pushing his brother into the room.

            “What did you want to tell me?”

            “Nothing.” He kissed her again and she kissed him back.

(9:00)

            “I had a lot of fun tonight.” Robby said to Carey.

            “Me too.” He leaned toward Carey and she leaned toward him. He kissed her lightly.

            She opened the door and walked inside. Maddie and Jackson were sitting on the couch; Maddie’s head was in on Jackson’s shoulder and Jackson’s head was on Maddie’s.

            “How sweet is that?” Carey asked.

            “I have never seen Jackson go this crazy about a girl.”

            “Well Maddie is one of a kind.”

            “See ya.” He kissed her goodnight and walked off.

            “Maddie, Jackson wake up.”

            “Huh?” Maddie sat up and hit Jackson’s head with her own.

            “Ouch Maddie that hurt.”

            “Sorry.”

(thirty minutes later)

            “Bye Carey, I’ll see you tomorrow.”

            “See ya Maddie.”

 (6:00)

            Maddie stood outside the Tipton waiting fro Hannah to pick Jackson stood beside her he was nervous, afraid he would make a fool of himself in front of the prettiest girl he had ever seen. (Ah how sweet.) Maddie scooted toward him a little then he scooted toward her. He reached his hand out slightly to get her hand and hold it. She put her hand in his; it felt as if their hands were meant to be together. Then Esteban and London came out holding hands. What the? Are they dating now? Does London have feelings for Esteban? Why are they holding hands? So many thoughts buzzed through Maddie’s head.

            “What are you two doing?” she asked London.

            “Were going to a Hannah Montana Concert,” she replied, “Esteban surprised me with Tickets.”

            “Really well Jackson got us backstage passes and we get to ride in a Limo with her to and from the Concert.”

            “Well then aren’t you just lucky?”

            “I guess I am.”  She scooted closer to Jackson and laid her head on his shoulder. Jackson’s heart began to beat so loudly and so quickly he knew Maddie could here it.

(At the concert)

            Maddie and Jackson found their seat in the front row.

            “I present to you,” the announcer came through spoke, “the one the only Hannah Montana.”

            As the crowd roared fireworks lit up the night sky, Maddie looked over and saw Esteban and London.

            “This is beautiful.” She told Jackson.

            “Yes you are,” Esteban said.

            “What did you say Esteban?”

            “I said yes London is.” Awkwardly he tilted London back and kissed her. London acted the way she did every time a guy kissed her, but she knew deep in her heart that this kiss was different. (I don’t know why but I always used to see them as a couple now I see him and Maddie. I’m not sure which one it will be though)

(In the elevator)

            “I hope Robby will be able to hear me sing tonight.” Carey said again.

            “Mom, I love ya, but you have talked about Mr. Stewart all the way down. Can you give it a rest?” Cody asked

            “Sorry kids, but he is so cute and sweet…”

            “Mom stop talking you are acting like a teenage girl.” Zack said.

            “Okay I won’t talk about Robby anymore.”

(In the Lobby)

            “What do you mean my guitar player is sick?” Carey asked Mr. Moseby

            “I mean he is sick, he got food poisoning; he ate the fish.”
            “He should know better than that. I guess my show is canceled tonight.”

            “Why’s it being canceled?” Robby asked coming toward them.

            “My guitar player is sick.”

            “I play the guitar. I can help you out.”

            “You can?”

            “Sure.”

            “Well my show doesn’t start for about thirty minutes do we need to practice the songs?”

            “No, just let me put the paper in front of me and I can play it.”

            “Okay well I need to go get something to eat I’ll see you at the show.” She walked to the elevator and pressed the button.

            “Go,” Zack and Cody whispered and motioned for them to go get her.

            “You know, I can sing too.” He said walking toward her.

            “Really?”

            “Yeah so we can sing a few duets tonight if you want to.”

            “Sure, we can sing a few duets.” The elevator came to the floor and the doors opened. “I gotta go.”

            “If you don’t mind I would like to join you.”

            “Okay that’s fine with me.”

Chapter 2- a ticket/ jealousy

The Stewarts waited patiently for the elevator to pick them up.  The elevator door opened and they stepped inside. The door was about to close when a mother and her twin boys ran up trying to catch the elevator before it left. Robby (Miley and Jackson’s Dad) caught the door to let her them in.

“Thank you…”

“Robby. Robby Stewarts.”

“I’m Carey, Carey Martin.”

“Nice to meet you Carey.”

“Oh, and these are my twins Zack and Cody.”

“These are my kids, Miley and Jackson.” The elevator stopped on their floor.

“You’re on the 23rd floor too?” Carey asked them

“Yeah, where are you from?”

“Were from here, I work here so we get to live here.”

“We came here from Malibu, we’re on a business trip.”

“Sounds like fun, I sing here every night if you would like to come and hear me.”

“I think I will.”

“I guess I’ll see you tonight then.”

“Yeah.” Then the Martins and the Stewarts  and the Martins went their separate ways.

(In Zack and Cody’s suite)

“Robby is really nice.” Carey said.

“Yeah he is. Zack, do you want to go play sock ball in our room?” Cody asked his brother.

“Sure.” They ran into their room.

“I think Mom likes that Robby guy.” Cody said.

“You think?”

“Hello, she said that he was so nice like five times and we were in the suite only three minutes. I’m pretty sure.”

“Well he lives in Malibu, and Mom doesn’t like long distant relationships.”

“You’re right, but he will be here for at least a week. Maybe we should let Mom date him while he’s here but make sure that she doesn’t get to involved.”

“I have an idea let’s just let her do what she wants to.”

“Good idea, I actually think that’s the best idea you have had in your life.”

“Thank you.”

(Meanwhile in Miley and Jackson’s suite)

“That Carey woman was really nice.” Robby said.

Miley and Jackson looked at each other. Jackson remembered the last time their dad tried to date. Miley was ok with it now she didn’t get mad when her dad tried to date. She simply shrugged it off and went on with life.

“Dad, I’m going down to the candy counter you want anything?”

“We were just at the candy counter. Why didn’t you get something then?”

“I did, I want something else.”

“Yeah a date with Maddie.” Miley mumbled under her breathe.

“I heard that Miley and no I’m not going to ask her out…Ok I am.”

“I knew it.”

“See ya.” He ran out the door and took the elevator to the lobby.

(In the Lobby)

“Hey Maddie.” Jackson said when he was down in the lobby.

“Hey Jackson.”

Before anything else could be said, Maddie’s little brother Liam came up. “ Hey Maddie I mean fatty.”

“What do you want Liam?”

“I’ve got bad news for you.”

“What?”

“I’m having my party at the pimento garden.”

“Why’s that bad news for me?”

“Cuz, Mom and Dad sold your Hannah Montana concert ticket to rent it.”

“What I worked over time for weeks to pay for that ticket.”

“To bad it’s gone now.” Then he ran off to go back home.

“This stinks. I really wanted to go to that concert.”

“You might think I’m lying but I’m not, I know Hannah Montana. I can call to see if she has any extra seats and we can go back stage.”

“Really, you can do that?”

“Yeah, let me call her right now.”

“Okay do you need a phone or do you have one?”

“I’ll go up to my room and call her I’ll be right back down.”

“Okay, see ya Jackson.”

(In Miley and Jackson’s suite)

“Miley, you are my favorite sister in the world.”

“I’m your only sister Jackson. What do you want?”

“I need two tickets for your concert.”

“Why?”

“Maddie bought a ticket then her parents sold it so her brother could have a party in a fancy place.”

“Okay.”

“Really, you’re going to give me tickets?” She nodded. “I could kiss you right now if you weren’t my sister.”

“You’d rather kiss Maddie.”

“I’m so gonna kill you, when I get back from the Lobby.”

(In the Lobby, again)

“You got the ticket. She gave me one two so we can go together. She said we can ride with her in the Limo. She’ll meet us here a seven-thirty.”

“Good I get off at six that will give me time to go home and change.” She hugged Jackson and he ran back up stairs. Little did she know that four brown eyes were watching her.

(The other side of the lobby)

“Wow, she seems to really like him,” London pointed out.

“I know. I don’t see why she likes him.”

“Well he cute and he seems pretty nice.”

“Yeah, I guess. I just don’t think that he’s her type.”

“You’re jealous!”

“No…ok maybe a little.”

“You should try to make her jealous.”

“How?”

“Do you have a friend that is a girl that would be willing to help you out?”

“Other than Maddie, you are the only other girl friend that I have.”

“I guess I could help you out.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, but you have to carry my shopping bags for three months if I help you.”

“Deal.”

“Okay we may have to kiss but remember the kisses mean nothing.”

“Got’cha.”

            Hannah Montana/Suite Life cross over.

            Summary- the Stewarts come to the Tipton. And Maddie easily falls for Jackson. Esteban feels Jealous. SO he pretends to date London to make Maddie Jealous. Which one will Maddie Choose?

            Sweet Romance

Chapter 1 The Stewarts.

            Maddie Fitzpatrick stood behind the candy counter staring off into space.

            “Maddie, Maddie.” Esteban said trying to get Maddie’s attention.

            “Huh?” She turned her head and Esteban’s and Maddie’s noses touched at the tip and sent a shock through them both. “You shocked me.” She said laughing. (I can’t see Maddie saying that but I don’t know how to say it in a smarter way)

            “Well you know this outfit attracts a lot of static and a lot of women.”

            “Okay, keep dreaming Esteban.”

            “Esteban!” Mr. Moseby yelled for the Latino bellhop to get the guests bags.

            “See ya Maddie.”

            “Excuse us,” a boy about her age and a girl about Zack and Cody’s age were standing by the candy counter, “can we get a bag of jelly beans and a snickers bar?”

            “Sure can. Where are you from?”

            “Malibu. It’s a lot warmer there than it is here.” The guy said.

            “You here on vacation?”

            “No, business.” The girl said quickly.

            “So, what’s your name?”

            “Jackson.”

            “Miley.”

            “I’m Maddie.”

            “Nice to meet you Maddie.”

            “Nice to meet you too Jackson.”

            “Miley, Jackson, let’s get to the room.” Their dad yelled.

            “Coming.” They both yelled Miley ran off and Jackson turned to leave.

            “Wait, how long will you be here?”

            “Two weeks.”

            “Okay, I guess I’ll see you tomorrow.”

            “You can count on that.” He ran to the elevator and waiting to take it up to his room on the 23rd floor.

Kelsi went to bed early that night and woke up late the next morning. She got up and checked her e-mail there was 20 messages all of them from Tyler. She opened each one they all said the same thing:

            It’s great, I love it. Please talk to me why did you break up with me?

            Kelsi replied to them all with the same answer:

            Thanks glad you like it. I am talking to you now. I told you we just weren’t meant to be. Sorry.

            Each day was worse than the last in Kelsi’s eyes she couldn’t figure out why she felt so wrong when she knew they weren’t meant to be.

                        Two years after she broke up with Tyler she was still moping. She had not talked to him since they had graduated. She felt empty. She had not dated anyone but him in New York. Finally one day she looked him up so she could talk to him and tell him how she had felt for him since their senior year in high school.

            She dialed his number. He didn’t pick up until like the tenth ring.

            “Tyler?” she asked.

            “Yes, who is this?”

            “It’s Kelsi from high school.”

            “Kelsi Neilson?”

            “Yeah, I just wanted to tell you the truth. I love you I’ve loved you since I found out you were Zorro. I love you more than any words can explain I only broke up with you because Sierra said I should and Sharpay said that I shouldn’t date you and I want you to know that that was the worse mistake I have ever made in my life.”

            “Kelsi, I’m sorry. We can hang out tonight if you want to.”

            “Okay.”

            “Meet me at Central Park under the tree where we go together and we can try it again.”

            “Sound good to me.”

            They both hung up the phone.

            Two hours later they were both at the park. As soon as Kelsi saw him she couldn’t help herself. She ran up to him and kissed him, but not quickly very passionately.

            After that night they dated. And a year later Tyler proposed. Kelsi gladly accepted.

            Two month’s after the proposal they were married.

             Four years after their wedding. They were a happily married couple with twin girls named Kelly and Carrie.

            “Honey we kinda need to hurry to the hospital.”

            “I’m hurrying.”

            “Can you not hurry a little faster? Brady really wants to see the world and it’s bringing a lot of pain.”

            “Sorry!” he helped her into the car and put Kelly and Carrie in their car seats. HE jumped into the driver’s seat and sped toward the hospital.

            By the end of the night they had a new addition to the family. Brady Tyler Smith.

            Kelsi held her baby and hugged it close to her. Tyler brought Carrie and Kelly in to see their new brother.

            “I don’t want you two to feel like I love Brady more. I will always love you the same.”

            “Okay mommy.” The twins said in unison. Both of them had their daddy’s dirty blonde hair and they had their mommy’s big green eyes.

            Kelsi now knew that moving to New York was a good thing because if she had not moved to New York she would not have the wonderful family she had.
