Nightshift

Hiya everyone! Just thought I'd share the joyfull news that I survived my very first ever nightshift at the hospital. *YAY* I was so nervous, but it turned out not totally horrific in the end. I had a pretty easy night with only one admission at 5:30 in the morning, which means I got to 'sleep' for about 4 and a half hours!! Not that I could actually sleep with the CPR-callsign and phone next to my bed but hey... Ofcourse the only admission that I did get was a cardiology patient...I have exactly 6 days experience in cardio from my internships so it's safe to say I don't feel too confident in that area. *eep* I've got 50 minutes left before I am allowed to go home, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that there won't be any new admissions before that! :D After that I am off to sleep for a while longer and then it's birthdayparties of my gran and aunt for me.

So I got tagged by OhB and it looked funny so I decided to play: Basically there is a list of categories below which I have to fill up. After which I get to tag another 5 people. Those 5 people copy and paste the table into their blog and fill it out, and then they tag 5 people (if they want to) and so on, so it spreads. Like an epidemic, but nicer. Anyhow, the 5 people you tag don't have to have any particular significance, and they don't have to play if they don't want to, it's not a problem. - What am I..... * Eating: A caramel filled chocolate bar, I know BAD BAD me, but very yummie!!

* Reading: "Abhorsen", this is the last part of a trilogy (The Old Kingdom) by Garth Nix. At the moment I am really into fantasy youth books. "Wächter der nacht" by Sergei Lukianenko, a Russian horror fantasy. I am reading it in German because that's the only version I could get. Also, like Bride, I am anxiously awaiting the last Harry Potter! * Watching on Tv: Mythbusters, but it's just over. 5 Favorite Movies: In no particular order the first 5 that pop to mind (there are so many movies I love!) Sense and Sensibility Interview with the vampire Silence of the lambs Pirates of the Caribbean (both of them, can't wait for the 3rd!) Sleepy Hollow 5 Favorite TV Shows: The X-Files Bones Buffy/Angel (is that cheating?) Grey's Anatomy House Honorable mention for Supernatural listening to/current music taste: Listening: Nothing at the moment but if there would be something on it would probably be "Grace Kelly" by Mika, thanks to T! ;) Current Taste: The music from the first season of Bones is on my list a lot, also stuff by the Fray and Snowpatrol. 5 Favorite Singers: Brian Adams Robbie Williams Phil Collins Paul de Leeuw ...? Can't think of anyone else 5 Favorite Bands: The Fray Snowpatrol Suede Bon Jovi The Calling 10 Favorite Songs: Runaway Train - Soul Asylum Ironic - Alanis Morrisette Stygmatized - The Calling How to save a life - The Fray Wherever you will go - The Calling Overcome - Live My Immortal - Evanescence Feelings - Il Divo Rain - Patty Griffin Grace Kelly - Mika Thinking about: - All the things I didnt get to list even though I cheated - All the good and bad things those songs make me think about!
- That I really wish it was weekend again! LOL Well that's my list. It was more difficult than I thought it would be but a lot of fun!! I'll postpone my regular rants for a bit ;)

Happy Easter!

Hello everyone! Happy Easter to all of you! I hope you all enjoyed the holidays! I for one really needed a long weekend! :D I had a nice time with the bf being here and all. Will type a longer blog sometime this week. Now I am just trying to catch up with all the goodness I missed around here! See you all!!

Them Bones

So I went ahead and did it. Today I finally budged and got the saeson 1 DVD box of Bones! It's so pretty!! First thing I did was watch the commentary to 'Two bodies in the lab,' OMG those two are just so great together as themselves aswell. (Don't worry T, I am not gonna suggest that they're romantically involved ;)) I've been wanting to get this box for a while now, but I kept putting off. But as I got my first pay last week I figured I'd better go get myself something nice! If I find myself with time on my hands I am going to try and list the episodes. I like lists, well I like reading other peoples lists, but I never have enough patience to make one myself. This will be my project. Work has been trying. I still find it very hard to be a good doctor and the grand rounds are quite horrible honestly. I suppose it's no wonder after only 4 weeks of working, but it really doesn't help to have such unsupportive supervisors. On the other hand I just might have been spoilt at the place where I did my elective intership. Maybe I need a little bit of this:

Used to drink it all the time a couple of years ago, but I can't get it anywhere right now :( I doubt I'd still like it though, not such a fan of sweet drinks anymore (unless it's a good cocktail) The weather has been lovely the last couple of days which also helps to make me feel better. Daylight saving time really is a good anti-depressant. Gutterville on the other hand has been awesome too! And on that note (I know this is not an unknown pic, but I just can't keep my eyes off it): T, don't you just feel the muse getting restless at this one?? :D

Evil Bert!

I made a very carefull jump to the next level (note the 0%) and now I am Evil Bert. I have always thought Bert was a little but evil and in the past weeks that has been confirmed by a couple of pigeons who were definately trying to kill me by almost flying into me!!

I'm still standing

Hello everyone! Just dropping a line here, because it's been a while. The past couple of weeks have been extremely busy for me and I am just barely getting the hang of my new job. To be honest it's very hard starting out. I am so glad Bones will be back this wednesday, because I am in desparate need of a fix! I really hope they won't torture us again like this. Other good news is that SPN will also be back this week, so I will have a really good weekend once I get all the goodies on my local screen :D Hope everyone else is doing OK. Oh and: YAY for the Buffy icon!

Freckles Ackles

So I am back from Germany and real life is getting frighteningly close... Monday I start my new job as a resident. My bf conned me into watching Battle Star Galactica and I have to say I do not hate it. In fact I took the first 2 seasons home to watch when I have time. And because Bones and Supernatural are on break I might have some time to. Also T (asaneismRnuTs) and I decided to go through the complete series (Bones) before March 14th sync-watching eps on MSN :D We just watched Girl in the Fridge and at the end of that episode there is this burned corpse they have to investigate and it's kind of loose. But I was thinking that it looks like Max Keenan's MO... Never noticed that before. Sure, they don't show a coin or if the victim is actually gutted, but it has the same feel as the vics in Judas on a Pole. Gotta go, more Bones to watch! Oh, and a nice little Jensen banner to get through the hiatus of SPN.

Blog frustrations!

Does anyone else have the problem that they cannot respond to certain blogs?! It's quite annoying. And i cannot seem to figure out why, so I'll just blame it on tv.com once again!! So, sorry Drea, can't respond to your blog, I tried like 20 times!

Other than that I am having a very nice and relaxing time in Germany with the bf. :)

I'm cookie dough, I'm not done baking

So I am in Germany at the moment, visiting my boyfriend. I will start my new job in 2 weeks time, so this will be the last time that I have time but no money. Next I will have money but no time! Life's funny like that!! :) I just finished the Buffy verse, and now I feel like watching the whole Jossverse in the correct order. Mixing Buffy and Angel eps. I kinda liked the cookie analogy Buffy used. Silly as it is at first glance it's really fitting. Only thing is I am not even sure I used the right recipe: The coming months I think I will find out. My whole life has been pretty clear till now, I always knew what I was going to do next. From groundschool to highschool and then straight into medschool, but now it's a little bit more difficult. And being the controlfreak that I am, I am trying to just go with the flow and not freak out. Hows about you guys: dough or cookies? And is anyone ever really done baking? OR

What's another year?

Can't believe I've been around here for a year, today. In some ways it feels much longer because so much has happened in the past year! The X-Files is what got me here in the first place, so I decided a to make a little XF banner as a tribute :) And a big thank you to all the people I met here during the year. You guys make the place! And without knowing it you've helped me through the past year. I had a rough time writing my thesis. OK, that felt a little too speachy. On to the drinks ;)

P.S. This is also my 50th blog, I knew there was something else that was special about today :D
