first off, sorry about the long gap between this post and my last post. either my computer or this site was acting out, and i couldn't post any blogs. and the stuff going on in my life since my last post has accumulated, so i'll put it in a list.
1) my grandmother came home from the hospital! i talked to her on the phone yesterday, and she sounded fantastic. she's going to have to take therapy (which is kind of obvious).
2) i went on my ski trip.
3) i learned how to ski straight down a hill
4) i got 2 big bruises on my shins from said ski trip. here's what happened: my ski instructor, trying to be all helpful, tightened my boots. (well, they were kinda loose, because i'm not used to walking around in ski boots, but seriously. i thought i was going to die from the pain.) and then I woke up the next morning, and i noticed these big black and blue marks on my legs. and it hurt when anything touched them, so i missed my lesson that day.
5) the next day, my legs were somewhat better. i could have probably gone skiing that day, except i had a fever, headache, swollen tonsils (according to my dad-- he's a doctor), all that jazz. so i stayed in bed all day and watched y&r and various dvds.
6) allergy season has started! my new nickname for my nose is the mucus fountain. seriously(this reminds me of this calvin and hobbes thing where calvin's nose is runny, and he's like, "my brains are leaking out!". so random. and totally gross. still...)
7) I went on matthew gray gubler's official website. it's just photocopies of notebook paper with his like, diary or something, and messages for his fans, and his films and what he's doing for criminal minds and stuff. chock-full of little doodles (like a bored high-school student) and atrocious handwriting. and really, really, really amazing sketches.
movies i've seen since my last post:a prairie home companion, chronicles of narnia: the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe, clueless, in her shoes
favorite song right now:daughters -- john mayer
TOTALLY RANDOM OBSERVATION: there is a sacred heart university in new york. could this possibly be the inspiration for sacred heart hospital in scrubs? (just a thought)
random quotes
kenneth: (on why he bet a terrible hand) why? because i believe life is for the living. i believe in biting off more than you can chew. and also, people were yelling and i got confused about the rules
jack: (after dennis, the beeper king, makes a speech about rats, rat poop, and the number of rats in new york city) i think i read about that in the new yorker...um, anyway, i'll leave you two to your meal. i hope you enjoy the choices you've made.

bridge to terrabithia
by *vmarsrox118 on Comments
yesterday, i saw bridge to terrabithia. it was really good. i think this movie showed that people like annasophia robb and josh hutcherson can do more than stupid, low-quality movies like "zathura" and "charlie and the chocolate factory" and that weird american girl tv movie (what was that?). oh, and can you say "tearjerker"? yes, i read the book, and also cried in the book too, and i read a review somewhere (i think the reviewer was richard roeper or something) and it said that if you've never read the book to bring tissues. ALL LIES!!! i took my little brother, who's 9 and has never read the book, and he did not shed a tear during the movie. and this is the guy who cried during "independence day" when will smith and the other guy are flying around and saving the world. and that made no sense whatsoever. movies i want to see: grindhouse, penelope, shooter, reign over me color of my nail polish: maroon (it's very chipped)
to go or not to go, that is the question.

well, today, my grandmother had a minor stroke, so my mom's reasonably upset (to say the least). she's thinking of going over to her instead of the skiing trip we were going to take. (i wouldn't mind. the breakfast over at the resort tastes vile.) as of two hours ago, my grandma was able to move her right arm, but she can't grip anything. i watched the remake of the manchurian candidate (liev shreiber, denzel washington, and meryl streep were fantastic in that movie) and coyote ugly. favorite song right now: give it to me--timbaland, feat. justin timberlake and nelly furtado quotes of the day: Hawkes: Our Jane Doe is heavier than she looks. Flack: (looks under the skirt) Better make that John Doe Tony Collins: (about live centipedes) Want one? Sheldon Hawkes: Uh, no, I ate already. Tony Collins: (nods sympathetically) They’re not for everyone. Danny Messer: I’m from the upper East Side. (picks on up, swallows it) Tony Collins: Taste like chicken? Danny Messer: No.
spring break
by *vmarsrox118 on Comments
today, i watched grey's anatomy, scrubs, young and the restless, clueless (turk from scrubs plays dionne's boyfriend), the baz luhrman version of romeo and juliet (i discovered these facts: leonardo dicaprio was extremely scrawny, the movie was bizarre, and claire danes looks like rogue from the x-men movies in romeo + juliet. also, leo dicaprio looks really weird when he cries. and mike hannigan from friends plays paris.), csi: ny, and finding neverland. it's a really good movie. i've seen it before, but i own it, so... oh, and spring break has officially begun.
veronica mars up in the air?

i've been wondering whether or not the cw will keep it. i'm having mixed feelings over vm's possible cancelation. i really loved the first two seasons, but the third season's quality has definitely gone south. QUOTE OF THE DAY: Dr. Cox: Nothing ever changes. The artist formerly known as Prince is still just Prince, my ex-wife is still pretty much my wife, Grey's Anatomy always wraps up every episode with some cheesy voice-over that ties together all of the storylines, which incidentally is my least favorite device on television, Newbie continually will try to violate my no-touching policy (Looks around) and Republicans will forever try to raise... J.D.: (appears out of nowhere) Sneak hug! (Hugs Dr. Cox) LITTLE-KNOWN FACTS: if you don't have an eraser, you can use fresh bread to erase charcoal pencils. (don't ask) most doctors at hospitals are a combo of The Nazi (Grey's Anatomy), Alex (from Grey's Anatomy), and Cox (Scrubs), only MEANER.

today i had a makeup test, i watched old grey's anatomy episodes (the one with the guy from dead like me and princess diaries 2), legally blonde, and i read the recaps for the black donnellys. it looks very violent. i've never actually seen it, and now that i know what it looks like, i have the feeling i will never watch it. oh, and i watched my first episode of house. it's SOOOOO GOOD! the husband (from ghost whisperer) was in that episode. or at least someone who looks like him. whatever. dr. chase is so prettyful. :D oh, earlier i heard fergie's "glamorous". it's the worst song EVER INVENTED. it's super boring. i don't know why it's so popular. and my nails are maroon again. i painted them for this bar mitzvah party i went to. (i was going to paint them white, but i was wearing a cream-color dress and black tights, and, well, white doesn't go with cream. at all. ever.) and for spring vacation, i'm going skiing. i might have said that earlier. i'm too lazy to check and see. QUOTES OF THE DAY: House: Like I always say, there's no 'I' in team. But there is 'me' if you jumble it up. Ducky: Have you ever wondered why perfectly healthy individuals suddenly and occasionally keel over and die, Mr. Palmer? Tony: I have an entirely inappropriate joke about strip clubs, but I'll save it for a less terrifying moment. (the list is unusually long, even longer than but whatever, it's my blog, i can do whatever i want to.)
level five!
by *vmarsrox118 on Comments
i am SOOOOOO thrilled. I got from level 4 to level 5 in less than a month! YAY! i am so happy! favorite song right now: gwen stefani--the sweet escape also, i saw sahara with matthew mccanaughy (i know that's not spelled right) and penelope cruz. it's totally and completely a trashy, bad summer movie, but i liked it.
not sure what to call this blog

ok, so i'm SUPER BORED. i'm supposed to be writing a paper on the conflict between india and pakistan. whatever. i hope they solve their conflict so i don't have to write a paper on it. i have a test and two quizzes tomorrow: romeo and juliet quote identification, current events, and a stupid latin noun-adjective agreement and future tense test. SO STUPID!!!!!!!!!! quote of the day: At this point I have to stress - thrust me on this - that none of the following events occurred out of malice, but rather out of Kevin's inability to cotton to strong suggestions from my supporters. This and a complete misunderstanding aided in creating the stigma that very nearly prevented said director from seeing his way clear to casting yours truly. The abbreviated tale goes as follows: I have the part (for a year), I don't have the part. Excuse me? Three days before my meeting with the 'enfant terrible' (Kevin), I received a phone call from my manager, informing me that my best friend Parker Posey had gotten the part ("But he hasn't even met me!"). Ironically enough, Parker was visiting from New York and standing beside me when the news came. Tears streaming down my face, I hugged and congratulated her, as visions of arsenic danced in my head. -Joey Lauren Adams favorite songs right now: justin timberlake-- let me talk to you the fray-- how to save a life the dandy warhols-- we used to be friends adrienne pierce-- lost and found
