Another typhoon is threatening Hong Kong. Hopefully this will mean a day off work tomorrow.

Since I have nothing to say, let's play "Guess the Episode". Warning, this may drive you crazy!

  1. TOPANGA: You didn't know I was right-handed.
  2. CORY: Best if used before Lincoln's assassination.
  3. MICHAEL: Then why do you take at least a hundred digital pictures of yourself every week?
  4. ZOEY: You just spit on me.
  5. LOLA: They won't explode, will they?
  6. CHASE: Am I asleep yet?
  7. SPENCER: Dinosaurs are cool.
  8. CARLY: Did you know they can't afford cable?
  9. SAM: Just like my aunt Judy before she got that operation.
BONUS: FREDDIE: 253,719.

I've been taking golf lessons lately. It's soooo hard. I'm so used to using my shoulders, I always end up chopping the ground as if with an axe. The proper way to hit the ball uses no upper body strength at all. Maybe I should play lefty to lessen the effect.

I can't wait for work to be over. I'm counting the days until the 30th. If it weren't for the fact there's no one to watch us, we'd be dead now. (Our boss is in a different office.) We have to goof off in order to make this job bearable.

Just saw the latest iNews entry on iCarly. It's scary that wacky Spencer is actually the most sane adult on the show. Other than maybe Principal Franklin.

Not surprisingly, in China the Olympic medal table is sorted by number of golds, and in the US it is sorted by total medals, so we are both number 1. As Mark Twain allegedly said, "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics."

Today's Screenshot: Boy Meets World, "Starry Night". Cory rambles on about Topanga, who broke up with him a few episodes earlier, not knowing Shawn is mocking him. (Don't worry, they get back together.)

Sam hacking Freddie's latest blog was awesome! Read it if you haven't already. A quote, intentionally taken out of context:

Yeah, I read your letter to Santa. I thought it was really cute how you asked him to make Carly like you. But it's kinda sad that you didn't get that either. Awww...

As for the last question-answer-answer trio, read it there. Me giving it to you would ruin it.

Results of my last poll (best version of "The Power of Love"):

Three votes, three-way tie. I shouldn't have bothered to put up this poll in the first place.

Daily Screenshot: Ned's Declasşified, "Video Projects", outtake. Look at the real-life chemistry between Lindsay and Devon.

Macau was nice. We stayed at the Venetian (complete with mini indoor canals and endless ceiling paintings). The Macau Tower was cool (for a fee you can even take a walk outside at 233 meters), and the Fisherman's wharf was OK, but lacking in shade. We didn't do much else, though. I'm too tired to post photos right now, but I'll get to it.

Only two votes in my poll so far. Keep voting.

Federer is gone. I don't know what happened to him, I don't know if his old self will ever return. But the soon-to-be-disposed world #1 is looking pretty battered right now.

Ukraine pipped China by one point to win Women's Team Sabre. Damn. At least we're first in the medal count, but then again China appears to be falsifying the ages of its female gymasts. I can't be sure, but some of them certainly look younger than 16.

Finally, I apologize on behalf of "my" (I don't always associate myself with the mainland) government's deception regarding the Olympics opening ceremony. Personally, I would expect live music too. I'd be disappointed even if that young girl was lip-syncing to herself.

For some reason, when I think of what Chase would look like 20 years from now, Russel Hitchcock (of Air Supply) comes to mind:

I have only one CD of Air Supply music: "Greatest Hits Live: Now and Forever". But if I were to only own one album, it would be this one. I must have listened to it 5 times today. I highly recommend looking them up on Youtube. I already gave a list of links in my previous post.

I'm loving Air Supply right now, so here's a few samples.

All Out of Love : note extra long note at end.
Here I Am: love the curly hair in this one.
I Want to Give it All: damn audience almost drowned out the last note, but still good.
Goodbye: don't really get the music video, but the song is great.
Lost in Love : not the original, but even better.
The One That You Love
Making Love Out of Nothing At All: a little more mature music video. Don't show your kid brother this.
Without You: Best version I've heard.

Daily Screenshot: iCarly, "iPromise Not to Tell". I wanted to do the Ankle Swear, but you can't capture that in a single frame.

My blog has become very personal, so I decided to make it semi-private. From now on you'll have to be my friend, or else it will appear as if I never blogged at all.

You know that line I posted yesterday, the one my ex posted as her personal message on MSN? Turns out it was just a line she took from some TV show. I feel stupid for asking, happy that's she's doing fine without me, fustrated I can't do the same, and all sorts of emotions rolled into one. But these emotions barely register with me anymore. Maybe numbness is the only way I can survive. But I'm tired of feeling like a zombie.

I don't dare tell her that while it's just a line to her, for me it's the truth. All of my spare time at work is spent daydreaming about her. If I could control my actual nightime subconcious dreams too, I'd never want to wake up.

I'm loving this song right now. Zoey 101 fans, enjoy my prediction of what Chase will look like in the future. As for Chase now, I do have this picture (from my graduation ceremony. I wish I brought a camera to prom itself.):
