So all I read was the first part, which is my reason for posting in this topic.
Did you know that flipping some one off came from the English during the Hundred Years' War? When they captured the French's bowmen, they would cut off their middle fingers so they could no longer shoot their bows. In mockery, the English would show off their middle fingers to say they still possessed theirs...

Ok thanks for that contribution.
As if I swayed from the compelling conversation started in this topic

[QUOTE="giton"]Love happens when you least expect it. Yeah, I believe in love. Real love is more like a kind of glue/need/delight/comfort between people than a fairy tale romance where no one ever farts or has bad breath.giton
I still don't believe that girls poop...
they do, but it smells like pine and juniper and fresh linen. that's why no one ever notices it.
When I moved into my apartment at the beginning of the semester, my parents bought me this kitchen set with pots, pans, cookware and such, and it came with a pizza pan. Otherwise, I'm sure I'd just stick it straight on the rack...

Tbh it seems like you need to learn how to flirt. Its the most basic thing you can do to break the ice. Don't go over the top with it at first, but if you can learn how to make comments that are flirty and that can peak the interest of the person you're talking to, it makes way for conversation and such...
Love is just the emotion you feel towards someone/something,you love your family, love your friends, love your dog, love your computer. The love you feel towards another human is just the same as this, except lust is in the equation now, making for what people call 'True Love'. I find this to an unusual thing, because what makes the love you feel towards an object less,or more, special than that you feel towards this person you've got the same feelings for.
Love comes down to two people making a pointless assertaion to commit themselves to the feelings of love, rather than just be enjoyment with eachother. Why? Because they need to own their love,it's the human condition, afterall.
So when it comes down to it, Love = Ownership. Wetall_basic
I'm actually glad you brought up lust. I've always felt that love is basically lust going on exponentially. Basically infatuation that simply does not go away, you continuously feel that you must have that other person, be it sexually, emotionally, spiritually, whatever matters to you and the person you're with...
So I'm at a cross road right now that makes me wonder about this very thing. I don't want this to be another "What Should I Do" thread, so I figured I'd make it general and simply ask, do you believe "love" is a true thing or simply a fallacy that blinds most. If you do, under what circumstances can it exsist, if not, why?
