That 70's show is great. I think they did the right thing by ending it too, because things start to go downhill as it gets older, but that 70's show was pretty solid all around. When Eric left it kind of sucked though.
All of the characters are done so well. They each have their unique personalities and they are all funny in their own way. Thats the good thing about that show. Theres no one who really sucks on there in the main cast of characters.

Dude, you seriously spent all this time reviving a topic just to try to prove something that's already settled. If you like the music, screw all the small details you keep listing. Oh noes, people like Metallica songs more than Megadeth songs! I like Metallica more, and i just spent half an hour disputing on how it's on what your taste is. That is my conclusion, i don't need any more facts! Good day to you sir:evil:
aaaaarrrrggggg

It's cool if you like Metallica more. I have nothing at all against that. It's your taste in music. But the question asked was which band is better. Megadeth is clearly the better band. Doesn't mean you have to like them more, it just means they are better. Someone asked a person who claimed this to back it up, so I followed through and backed it up. No big deal.

I used to like metallica back in the day... but as the years went by, and their attitudes became worse and worse, I started losing respect for them, until it came to the point where I hated them. They have no reason to be respected because they are a bunch of a**holes

All of the bands that I listen to, I have heard most of there songs, if not all. If I only like 1 or 2 songs by a band, I just delete them and don't listen to them any more.

C means that the pitch is dropped 2 whole steps down. That means that hitting the 4th fret on the top string, would sound as if  you were hitting the string open in standard E tuning. So basically what you have to do is drop all of the strings pitch by 4 frets. If you have a tuner, that would be easiest, since you can tune each string one at a time. If you know how to tune by ear, the easiest thing to do is tune down the top string first, and work from there. Do you know how to tune by ear? By like... hitting the E string on the 5th fret, then the A string open, so that they have the same pitch? If you know how to do that, do the same thing, only instead of starting on the 5th fret on the E string, move it up 4 frets, to the 9th fret, and hit that, then the A string open, and tune the top one down until it reaches the same pitch, then you can proceed to tune by ear as you normally would for the rest of the guitar, using the 5th fret on the E string as a guideline for the A string open, tuning the A string down, Then using the A string 5th fret as a guideline for the D string open, tuning the D string down, etc etc. If you dont know how to tune by ear scratch all of that though lol. The easiest way to do it is with a tuner.

[QUOTE="Frimbles"]

Gladly, Cliff Burton was the greatest thing that ever happened to Metallica. Before that, it was Dave Mustaine who was a far superior guitarist to Kirk Hammett and wrote a lot of their stuff. Kill 'Em All was so sooo much better than St Anger, and what's the difference?

aaaaarrrrggggg

You're also mistaken about Mustaine being better than Hammett. I listen to both bands and i can say that you can't compare Megadeth solos to Metallica solos, especially those on songs like One. Hammett was a much better player.

Dude. Some of Hammetts solos can take on Mustaines... but when it comes to Marty Friedman, there is no contest at ALL. Marty absolutely destroys every other guitarist to be in megadeth or metallica combined. And his solos on the Rust In Peace album are incredible.

I have to agree with this, Metallica > Megadeth!

I know it's your opinion, but you are wrong.

Prove it with facts

1. Metallica stole 2 songs that Dave wrote, and about 20 other riffs that are spread out over the first 3 albums, when Dave told them "If you kick me out, don't use my songs".
2. Megadeth had Marty **** Friedman on guitar from 1990-1999. Marty is one of the best and most original guitarists out there. Just check out his stuff in Cacophony which was his band before Megadeth.
3. Metallica sold out in 1991 with the Black Album. Megadeth didn't sell out until 1999 with Risk.
4. Metallica haven't made a good album since the 80's. Megadeth put out their best album, and some other great albums in the 90's, when both started close to the same time.
5. Dave Mustaine's Lyrics absolutely destroy anything any of the guys in Metallica can write. The best evidence of this is any lyrics on the first 3 albums. Check out Looking Down The Cross.
6. Megadeth always give the fans what they want and do what is in their best interest. Metallica do things there way and haven't satisfied their fans in over 15 years.
7. Megadeths solos are much more original, thought out, complex, and overall sound better then metallicas.
8. Megadeth don't sue their fans.
9. Megadeth don't take 5 years sitting in the studio crying to write an album.
10. Mustaines vocal performance has much more intensity then hetfields. This is strongly evident on the early albums. Hetfield sticks to his Hick yea-yea trademark and tells all his fans to **** off while playing and gives them the finger.

I can go on forever... If you want me to keep going, just say.

Definently take the job dude. You don't realize how lucky you are to not have to work weekends. I've been looking for a job for months now without having to work on weekends and I can't find one at all so I'm stuck working junky hours.

Hip Hop, because its the best.Smithblat89

Um, no. For a genre of music to be "The Best" It actually has to have music to it. More then a simplistic beat stuck on repeat with a guy talking over them.

The "Best" music out there is clasical. No one can deny that. It is the best type of music in all aspects. It's just that it is an aquired taste. Like personally, I don't enjoy it at all.

My favorite genre of music is definently metal. It's what I mostly listen to.

This is seriously the dumbest thread I have ever seen in my life on any forum.
Even the title is Illiterate. This is insane. Get a life.
