I feel that by the end of 2008, the only thing cows can think of to downplay 360 are two things: No MGS4 and that Live costs money. Not that those are relevant because 360 has many more eclusives and "Games on 360 and not on PS3" or just Not-PS3 games and Live is amazing for true gamers that want the most out of their online.

But seriously, 360 has a legitimate chance to hold their lead until November 2010 when the generation ends with the next Xbox coming out. 360 currently has a 5.5 million shipped units lead, but what excites me is that PS3 pulled out all the stops this 1/2 of 08 and really didnt get anywhere meaningful in terms of hardware sales.

In the first half, PS3 saw GT5: Prologue, MGS4, and GTA4, which should have benefitted them due to many playing GTA on a playstation console in the past. For 360, they only released Lost Odessey and Ninja Gaiden 2, two great games but are clearly not system sellers. The second half will see PS3 releasing a $399 80 gig worldwide, and phazing out everything else. This is still not a mass market point. On the software side the only noteworthy game that will truly drive sales is LBP. The rest will only stimulate sales with the hardcore.

Offcourse im downplaying the PS3's 2nd half potential but we all know that their biggest weapon this half of the year is their brand, which is still a very deadly weapon with all those PS2 owners out there.

But with 360, the second half of 08 is gonna be very interesting.....so much potential.

Lets get this straight.

- I only own a 360. No Wii and certainly no PS3.

- All my hate towards PS3 and support towards 360 is what I truly feel.

What some people may have misunderstood is that I once said I wouldnt say this stuff in real life. Thats NOT because its all an act, but excuse me when I say that speaking hate about PS3 to my friends (who arent even gamers) and in the general public seems a little weird, to say the least.

Believe it or not, I lead a normal and productive life. Im going into my fourth year at University and have a steady job.

SW is the only place where I can speak my thoughts on the console war. During the day I work. During some nights I go out with friends. But when I can spare some time, I go on SW and say whats on my mind.

So there you go. Its not an act. I just wouldnt say this in real life......because its weird to do that offcourse.

As the general/prophet for my people/children, it is my job to not engage in wars with non-cows. Hermits are the ones usually getting involved in our holy war when we say 360/PC games against PS3.

Apparently they don't like us using their platform as a means to own PS3. Its as if they think PC is relevant or something.........

Thats all going to change, as I now propose to stop saying "console exclusive". The aim of saying that is to claim that 360 has great games, games not available on PS3. We will now say a different term, one that hermits WON'T take offense to. The new term to say to replace "console exclusive" will be:

"Not-PS3"

So you can say that Gears of War or Mass Effect is a Not-PS3 game. It owns cows cause they cant get it. Hermits are also happy because Not-PS3 makes no mention of the PC. We will avoid fighting a 2-front war against a fanboy we have 0, I repeat, 0 concern with.

May the holy war continue, may lems everywhere list Not-PS3 games constantly to cows, to remind them of what they do not have. Hermits, stay out of our way, we have no quarrel with you.

PS3 is a plague on our planet. Its followers are tainted, their corporate leader a stain that must be cleansed, their exclusives arbitrary, their logic flawed and non-existent. Their influence must not spread.

My ban from this site is enevitable. I welcome the day. My words are too powerful for those loyal to PS3 to ignore. When I am gone, my will shall continue. A new lemming shall take my place, heft my burden, my responsibility, my duty. We must always be vigilant to protect our prize and its integrity against those who do not see the light. All though one day I shall be gone, I shall keep watch. One day, our prophecy shall come to pass, and I shall rise again to defend the lemming honor.

Below in my blogs I was interviewed as a lemming to see what goes on insides ones head. Some people doubted that I was indeed, the #1 lemming on SW.

That opinion is bound to change very soon.

As some may have noticed, I have stepped up my game. My posts are now becoming more fanboyish and with little reason to back up my claim. Comments such as "cows are beneath me", "which ever country that has the most PS3's has the lowest IQ", "I am a lemming general", and "PS3 multiplats are inferior because they need the PS3 to play them". I gotta say, being incoherent is actually fun.

I also make anti-PS3 comments in threads that don't even concern the PS3. Some posts I still try to actually post links to back up a claim I am actually trying to logically make. All the while, my posts are not technically trolling, I make sure of that.

In short: Everyone will know me as the #1 lemming soon, if not all ready. This does not mean I am proud of it.

Rumors are flying that MS is planning to launch the next Xbox in 2010, making the 360 cycle a 5 year one compared to a 4 year cycle for the origional Xbox. Im also happy to hear that MS will continue to sell 360's even after the next XBox will launch. November 2010 also signifies the time period that 360 has to hold its lead over PS3.

If 360 can keep any form of lead over PS3 until november 2010 hardware sales wise, 360 offically won. Even if PS3 passes 360 after the next XBox launches, its irrelevant. 360 would have beat PS3 in time for its successor to get the jump on PS4. But I seriously doubt the 360 can keep its current 5.7 million lead for another 2.5 years. Maybe the upcoming US price cut will slow PS3's advancement down.

But there is the definate possibility that PS3 will pass 360s worldwide installed base before november 2010. In that regard, 360 lost. But there can be some positives from this.

1. By nov. 2010, PS3's lead on 360 can be no more then 3 million, tops. Considering the dominance of PS2 last gen, MS did a pretty good job to finish so close.

2. 360 has done so many things over the origional XBox like selling more LTD, making a consistent profit, LIVE growing and expanding, and getting major developer attention over PS3. When you look at it like that, that can be a victory in itself. Remember, PS3 sales are way behind the PS2 and will never match up to it, 360 can at least say it outsold its predessor.

3. I project that the PS3 will pass 360 next holiday of 09. Sure it will be ruff but I hope MS announces the next Xbox soon so lems can get right to cheering it on. We can simply counter any PS3 beating 360 arguments by saying the next XBox will get yet another jump on PS4....and this time HOLD our lead.

CONCLUSION: I sadly believe that 360's lead cant last till nov. 2010. However the 360 has accomplished so much that it cant be possibly called a failure. Besides, if it does pass 360, the lead wont be that great. A few million tops by the time the next gen starts.

Besides, 360 beat PS3 since Nov. 05. That means we will have been ontop of PS3 for a total of 4 years (till fall 09). The least we can do is wait out a year till we start winning again with the next Xbox.

Ghost, what are the systems you grew up playing and when did you become a lemming?- I had SNES, N64, and Gamecube as consoles. I wasnt hardcore at the time, but I guess you could have called me a sheep. I became a lemming when Wii became a drastic new direction for Ninetndo. Why did I then choose 360? cause Gears intrigued me and I always followed the Halo series, even though I never owned an Xbox.

What franchise would Sony have to have on the PS3 to make you purchase one?- Gears of War, Halo, Resident Evil (very lucky to have 360 getting it or I may consider one).

If you were stuck on island and you had to choose between a 360 that could potentially RROD, or a PS3 that was guaranteed to last forever, which would you choose?- A 360 because thats where the games I want to play are. Why would I pick a reliable console with games I have 0 interest in. Id rather have fun while it lasts then to have constant "meh" rated fun.

When did you purchase your 360?- April 29, the launch day of the Xbox Elite. I bought Gears of War a week before so I could just keep it around my house ready to go.

If you dont own a PS3, why do you dislike it so much?- It has half the games library of 360 and its online is not as robust. I value online quality a lot, even at a cost. And I really like the game variety the 360 offers, unlike PS3.

Are you concerned about getting an RROD?- Sometimes. I have a cold basement where I use it so not so much. Even if I do get it, its not the end of the world.

What sucks most about the PS3?- Its brand. Despite the half game selection and highest price on the market, it continues to outsell the 360. Its not because of the superior games or online quality, its because of brand loyalty.

What is one good thing to be said about the PS3?- It is the cheapest bluray player on the market. If u want to watch HD movies, then a 40gb PS3 is cheaper then a standalone bluray player.

What opposing fanboys get on your nerves the most?- Hermits and cows. Hermits because every time there is a 360/PS3 comparison list, I mention 360/PC games. They arent on PS3 so I feel they deserve a spot on the 360 list. Hermits come in and pull the "this is system wars, not console wars" card. Cows because they are defending a console that does not deserve to be defended. Again, it has the highest price tag, 1/2 the games as 360 and its online isnt #1. It has bad multiplats and there are many game delays/cancellations. Cows that disregard the above points get on my nerves.

If there was one PS3 franchise you could have on the 360 besides MGS, what would it be?- Final Fantasy but thats not first party. First party I would say God of War I guess.

If someone gave you a PS3 with Resistance, Uncharted, and Warhawk... would you keep them or sell the system and games for more Xbox 360 games? -The PS3 would be kept as a strict bluray player. I see resistence as generic, Warhawk has serious balance issues with all the different units, and I feel that Uncharted and its lack of multiplayer can only last me so long. They would go straight to the trade in. Now, if I played and actually liked them, so be it. But id still trade them in for the next 360 game I want.

Do you wish the 360 was more like the PS3? Like reliable hardware, WiFi, standard HDD, Blu Ray, etc?- With reliable hardware, yes. Wifi, no. Thats because me, along with many others, use ethernet cables to connect. Those come free with the Pro and ELite 360's and Im happy MS didnt force me do buy a 360 with internal wifi when ethernet works just fine. Standard HDD? No. So far having no standard HD hasnt been bad for MS. Games still fit on 1 disk (with BD and LO as exceptions) and they still load and perform on par with the PS3 version, without the 1-5 gig installs. So I don't see the negative side of it as of yet. As for Bluray, not now but eventually when the format catches steam and truly goes mainstream, then yes.

Why do you hate Sony so much and want them out of the market? Dont you think they do and have contributed alot of positives to the gaming market? - Hmm, interesting question.... one that deserves a past and present explanation. I hate Sony (past response) because they were once on the verge of monopolizing the entire video game industry (aside from handhelds and the PC market), thus almost killing any sort of innovation. Presently, I hate Sony because they deliberately underperformed with the PS3 and expected the PS3 to sell amazingly anyway (extremely cocky). Point is that Sony obviously wasn't thinking of the average gamer when making the PS3. They made it perfectly clear it was all for them and not directly catering to the consumer.

Two reasons.

1. There is no way to track the sales of gaming PC's. PC's sell millions per month, but the majority bought are for other applications. How can we compare hardware sales with Wii/360/PS3 if we don't know it?

2. No company owns it. PC gaming is a free market. There are multiple PC manufacturers and apparently even MS's OS monopoly doesnt qualify as owning it either. If nobody owns the PC market, why is it in system wars?

My point is that consoles are ruled by Nintendo, MS, and Sony. We compare them all the time. But PC is like a black sheep, (has no owner and no way to track it).

How can it be included in the war if PC has no general?

After some time spent bragging on how MS's event in Japan completely owned Sony, I feel its time I relax and reflect on the current state of the 360/PS3 war and see how good it is to be a 360 owner.

Microsoft may be a big international corporation with a monopoly, and its that same feature why many people hate them. However, it is that very nature that makes them the ideal condidate to back when in the console war.

Sony makes 1-2 billion profit every fiscal quarter. Microsoft makes 12-15 billion. Microsoft likes to pay off developers to get exclusivity, console exclusivity, timed exclusivity, or making PS3 exclusives multiplat. We can all remember times where MS used their money. Sony on the other hand does not have the cashflow nor resources as Microsoft to do this on a similar scale. As a result the PS3's exclusive and timed exclusive list is much smaller then the 360's list.

Quite simply, Microsoft's money and ***desire to get the hearts and minds of the hardcore gamer*** have led to an amazing number of games that can't be found on PS3, or a least on 360 before the PS3. Basically, the big companies take care of you if you back them. Sony is big, but it aint no Microsoft.
