Why?

-It has some great games

The Philips CD-i had timeless ****cs such as Hotel Mario, Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon and Link: The Faces of Evil, and many more. These 3 games are the cherry on the top for what is an incredible system.

-The hardware was incredible

Also it could play CDs, a huge revolutionary step for its time. Nothing else can compare the dominance the CD-i had over its competitorswith this. Before PlayStation arrived, this was the first time anyone could play video games using CDs, heralding a new age of gaming.

-The graphics were impressive

The cutscenes in Hotel Mario, Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon and Link: The Faces of Evil, signify the high cutting-edge quality the CD-i had over its competitors.

for every MGS3/Persona 3/Persona 4/Odin Sphere/DQVIII/awesome game, there's a crappy licensed game or some sort of $30 poop. This is why I the GBA is not considered the best handheld EVAH because the crap FAR outweighs the good games.

The best consoles evah are ps2 and snes. Both have great games and great hardware.

Earthbound/FFVI vs. Persona 3/Persona 4/Dragon Quest 8 is a battle for the ages. But the SNES has Super Metroid. Hmmmmm...

Killzone 2 is going to not live up to expectations that Sony fanboys thought it would be.

The problem with Killzone 2 is that THERE ARE NO COLORS. NONE. AT ALL. It's just grey, black, brown, different shades of brown, grey and black and occasional red. Sure, you can have the nicest graphics on a console but there is no other redeeming value for this game. No interesting stories, no interesting characters, no multiplayer, nothing. Just graphics graphics graphics ZOMG THE GRAPHICS ARE INCREDIBLE LUVZ THE GRAPHICZ. Sony should release this for free as 'what the PS3 can do' tech demo that is a game. Because that is Killzone 2.

Half life has a very involved universe, gears is getting there, halo is too meh and resistance is too boring.

HOME is going to suck. It's a pathetic SL ripoff at the worst time possible-when people now have lost intrest in second life.

Come on Sony, stick to your guns and release inFamous and Killzone 2 soon.
