I have a question. I just bought an HDTV Widescreen, but whenever I set my games to play in either 16:9, ProScan, or HDTV (all on a PS2), I still get small vertical lines on both sides of the TV. Why?

[QUOTE="-Purity"]http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0665000FS10064895&catid=23518&logon=&langid=EN Is this a good TV to get? It seems like good value for the price (CDN, by the way)Thanos_of_MW

It is cheap. I don't know the exchange rate with US$ but it looks cheap. Doesn't mention DVI or HDMI inputs. It is 720p if you are OK using component or a VGA adaptor (since it has VGA input). It will display your PS3 in HD if that's what you want to know. It is OK if you are on a budget.

Would this one be a bit better? It says it has HDMI at the bottom for not that much more.. http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0665000FS10064776&catid=23518&logon=&langid=EN

[QUOTE="-Purity"]I just read EVERY post in this thread because I was considering buying an HDTV for the PS3, like many of you have, when I went upstairs to check the TV in the main room, it WAS an HDTV.

Can I have you guys' opinions on this? (especially the topic creator)

That is a CRT projector. Just make sure that you calibrate your set properly and try to limit your gaming sessions and alternate with TV watching, as those sets are prone to burn-in.

Thanks. If I even do end up getting an HDTV now, I'll probably wait a couple years for the price to drop..

You are welcome. The good news is you already have a HDTV set. Getting something newer can wait, as you said, for a price drop. Remember that these things are always getting better and cheaper the longer you wait :D

In a couple of years you'll have other technologies to look at as well, like SED (the one that could finally knock plasma out of the market)

Yeah, but it's a projection, and has a chance of burn in on games with HUD's and such..
