Lol I'm terrible still after 7 years :| After about a year of trying I landed a kickflip the other day...and haven't landed one since :( Ah well

They are a hard trick to learn. It took me much longer to learn kickflips than most other tricks. I was doing varial kickflips, heelflips, and even tre flips before I learned a straight kickflip.

Yeah, it's a national event. Where I live, skaters gather at the state capital then skate through the mall.

That happens to me occassionally after eating really hot ****, like Blazin' wings at Buffalo Wild Wings. It happened to me this morning though, and all I had last night was some gin and tonics.
