Long story short, my company got bought and now I'm animating at Zynga. They really aren't arrogant once you get to actually meet them. Been a crazy journey so far. Can't wait to see what's next.

I know what you're thinking. Why the #$@% would you do tradeins at Gamestop? While usually the $$$ return for tradeins at gamestop is horrible, the time and effort investment vs. selling them online makes this deal worth it to me.

My sole reason for this desperation...Sin and Punishment: Star Successor came out for Wii just a few days ago! I never played the first one but I loved Ikaruga and I'm seriously pumped! Also want Monster Hunter Tri, but I guess that will have to wait.

Moved in with the girlfriend this past weekend! Bought a black Wii with motion plus and wii resort/sport bundle with an extra controller setup. She's not a gamer, but she is interested in games (more of the cute ones). Wii resort and Mario Galaxies are all I have that she'd be interested in. I've gotten a few already, but any more suggestions for fun but also cute gf games would be great! :D

Bit of a dilemma. So I play CoD4 for PC. Been wondering if I should even bother with Modern Warfare 2 considering how much they seemed to have hosed it for PC compared to CoD4. Or should I get Bad Company 2 instead? Or should I just forget both of them and stick with CoD4?(which I'm perfectly content with). If anyone has played all 3 or at least CoD4 and one other I'd love to get your opinion on the matter. Thanks! :D

When I played SMG it was the first time I'd felt giddy since I was a kid playing SM64 for the first time. Now I have a feeling this sense of wonder with SMG2 will feel something close to playing SMW2 for the first time. I'm pumped. :D

With all the hardships over this last decade, it was hard to tell if there was any light at the end of this dark tunnel. A dark tunnel I discovered I wasn't alone in. We all have our struggles in life, and I never thought I'd understand the term "it's not how many times you fall, but how many times you get back up" so well. This year was the year where all that work I had done finally paid off. I got my big break at a game company (mentioned in an earlier blog) and headed off to Boston.

The feeling of relief in finally having my future answered and not living check to check in itself was amazing, but there was no way I could imagine the feeling. I could finally, for the first time in years, just go out and have fun and not worry about it, while at the same time going to a job that I love with awesome people.

I went out a lot at first, but something was missing. I still didn't know anyone in this new place, so I started finding ways to reach out. I went to clubs/bars for my first time ever, it was pretty sweet this time because I had a snazzy business card that chicks dug a lot lol. I also used yelp.com to meet new random people for a bit, and then over the summer transitioned into online dating. It had been so long since I had a girlfriend, and I was getting very lonely.

After a dozen different women over 6 months, I came across one special lady. The most beautiful and intelligent woman I've ever met in my life. Needless to say we are 5 months going strong now. I never thought I'd find something like this in my lifetime, and I know I'm lucky to have it.

I had planned out at least another 4 years to get my career to where it is now, and I never expected to find what may possibly be the love of my life all in the same year. It's been a crazy decade, I'm glad in the end, everything happened for a reason and I came out on top. :)

I seriously hope I have more 2009's in my lifetime. Here's to 2010!!!

Some of you might remember my post about me getting a job as an animator at Zenimax Online. Well, things didn't work out, they ended up not hiring me unfortunately...for them. Fortunately, I landed a my first 3d animator gig at Conduit Labs (http://conduitlabs.com).

I start in January and can't wait! :D

Oh, and I'll still be reviewing games with Acegamez.com here and there. Hey, it's free games, I can't just walk away from that.
