So a friend of mine has been having issues with a computer he recently put together. This is what happens when he starts it up the case power led stays lit, the hard drive led is not lit, all the fans start but he does not get a video signal to his monitor. He tried both slots on his motherboard still no video signal. Oh yeah he said the motherboard speaker does not make any noise. He said he had tried 2 different monitors but still no video signal. Could there be some kind of incompatibility with any of the parts. He RMAed the ram and CPU and tried the motherboard but they would not replace the motherboard due to it missing its serial number sticker. So what do you guys think. The specs are in the first pic but if you need to know they are Motherboard MSI 990XA-GD55 ATX AMD CPU AMD FX-8150 Case Cooler Master Elite 430 PSU Cooler Master eXtreme 550 Dvd Drive Lite-On Ram G.Skill 8gb Ripjaws X DDR3 1600 Segate Barracuda 1tb Here are the pictures

I've done some research and an overclocked 2500K seems to be more than enough for gaming at the moment, but there's currently a sale going on over at Newegg where if you buy an i7 2600K, you'll get a free copy of Battlefield 3. Now my question is, since I already planned on getting the game, do you guys think it'd be worth it to spend the extra for the i7? Thanks in advance!

I hear folks have issues with Hyperthreading in Battlefield 3 and they end up disabling it for the game to run smooth. Seems a waste of money for the i7 if Hyperthreading is causing issues in the game.
I suppose the only other reason to go with this deal is if the cost of a i5-2500k + Battlefield 3 is > the i7-2600k that comes with Battlefield 3. Personally, the idea of having to disable Hyperthreading to run the game smooth defeats the purpose of having an i7 over the i5. I'd go with the i5 and buy the game separate.
My i7 2600k with ht enabled @ 4.5ghz runs bf3 flawless
Nice job keeping the list updated. The platoon is really growing, hopefully we can fill wasdie's server easily now.

Yeah, we have made a few attempts to get wasdie's server filled up. We had about 25 or so people on it at one point. I think the problem is, that the server browser is limited to 150 servers, and I could not get his server to come up in the list, no matter how many times I refreshed it. They really should take the limit off, there are a lot of good servers out there that sit dead, because no one ever comes across them.. Kind of like my server :( I can get it to fill up if I sit in the server long enough tho. I set it up where it starts with 2 people.
TheSicWolf I also have a 24 player server search for Multiplay :: Noobs Welcome The Sic Clan VA All of you are welcome on there if you like it please tell your friends and also favorite it.
I wish they would unnerf the guided rockets they are useless now, they do 20-30% damage and take about 15-20 secs to reload more than enough time for what ever you were shooting to regen its hp. I feel like I wasted my time getting them for jets, even the rocket pods do more dmg which is like your second or third unlock. Not to mention you can not lock on to the vehicle anymore after the driver jumps out and most of the time thats what they do to get rid of a lock.
