So, been playing Resident Evil 4 today.

Played Code Veronica and Outbreak on sunday, but wanted to take a stab at 4 today. Played for only an hour and half, and it was different then the Wii version, its harder. Its just the laser pointer, not a big bulls eye and accurate motion aiming. I kind of like it better though, the controls feel better. It truly is like Code Veronica, its just they've perfected their combat system with the over the shoulder view. With this new round, I'm taking more time because well I own it now, and already the results are proving positive. I found the shot gun for free this time (I bought it from the sales man last time) because I took the time to search. Its just so awesome when you finally peg the people with the hand gun or shot gun. I love it when they go flying back after a good shot from the shot gun, so cool.

Peace Out.

Resident Evil: The Essentials

35 dollars for Resident Evil 4, Code Veronica and Outbreak. Resident Evil 4 is 30 bucks alone, so an extra five bucks for two more games is a no brainer. I dabbed a little in Outbreak and Code Veronica earlier (already played number 4, but on Wii and this is PS2 so I must restart, yay!) and I was not aware that the earlier versions were not first person, but almost the same as 4 except not as well executed. Code Veronica is a very awkward game to play, and yet it still some how draws you in. Outbreak is the same system as code veronica only it feels kind of better, but still is also awkward, but there are NPCs with you that you interact with and they actually help, its pretty cool what I've played so far. The controls are awkward in that its hard to kill the zombies, but not because of their life or that I suck but its the way you shoot. You can point up down and in the center but in code veronica none of those hit the zombies head (which they still use the whole "shoot their head to kill them") so its like "aw c'mon". That is kind of fixed in Outbreak, but is still awkward. Resident Evil 4 is deffinitly better then Code Veronica, but Outbreak is kind of cool in how you use the NPCs and its like your just trying to survive, and you can turn into a zombie.

Anyways, thats what I think of the games right now, and Phantom Hourglass for those who want to know, turns out isn't as immersive as other Zelda games. Still a buy for your DS, but don't bother expecting a Wind Waker or Oracles for that matter.

Peace out.

Godfather: Blackhand edition

So I just rented it last night and played for a few hours (its on the Wii) and I love it. However I just finished session with a bad impression. My Wii froze 3 times in less then half an hour playing the game. I just stopped now because it was too annoying. Otherwise I like the game. The controls are kind of messy but it is really fun to play. Kind of like Resident Evil 4 where if you shoot them in the leg they fall down, and shoot their arm holding a weapon and it disarms them. Although if you just leave them, they get back up. I think they should stay down if they get shot in the leg.

Halo or homework?

I chose Halo 3 at a friends house when me and my friends were supposed to be working on a history project which thankfully is not due tomorrow. We set out the bristol board, then all of the sudden we were picking up controllers and turning on the 360. All of the sudden it was past 6:30 (been at his house since 3:00) and I had to go home. We played online, I somewhat pwned for someone who does not have Halo 3 or let alone a 360. So that is how my afternoon went, lots of fun.

Zelda Phantom Hour Glass - First Impression

Picked it up today at Wal-Mart, and my first thoughts are wow this is a DS game!? And then the controls confirmed that yes it is a DS game, lol. Beaten the first dungeon only so far (although there were two other dungeon instances I think they're more of side dungeony things, the whole temple of the ocean king bits... if you have the game you know what I'm talking about). I like it alot so far and the customizing to the ship part seems really cool. Controls are fantastic, and links moves are great for taking on crowds, the precision almosts makes it easier.

My first thoughts are that this is an easier Zelda game (although I went in knowing the stradegy from previous experiences). I'll review it when I beat it, because it looks like a really fun game, I'm gonna plow through it, then take the time to explore more and play the Wi-Fi.

My World of Warcraft review.

http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/worldofwarcraft/player_review.html?id=501089

So I have put in my final thoughts of World of Warcraft, and I'm not sure if I'm going to be purchasing another game card. I'll probably take a long break, and if need be, go back for another month or two during some serious console game drought.

However there is no drought right now, I own a Wii and am deeply looking forward to Super Smash Bros Brawl and Super Mario Galaxy, but I also am looking forward to Assasins Creed; which is for the Xbox 360, I don't own one. I think I like some games for the 360, I've played Halo 3 for a bit at my friends house but I don't think I'd get that simply because it really is only good for multiplayer and I don't have anyone to play with except my friends who own it. I'd rather get Bioshock which looks like a more immersive single player game. Then I'd get Assasins Creed when it comes out in November, as well as Mass Effect. However I need an Xbox 360. I have the cash to get it, and a few games, although I'd just get Bioshock and wait for AC and ME, but I have no support from my parents, which means no.

I'll keep fighting the good battle, but I don't think I'm gonna keep fighting it in World of Warcraft.

World of Warcraft

So recently (last week) I purchased WoW because I was bored and wanted a time waster. Little did I know that WoW is the best game I have ever played. Honestly. Anyways contact me for my info on my character and server. I'll be playing WoW for a while now.

I spent like 3 days doing everything in Dun Morough and now I've renewed my joy journying through Elwynn Forest and Westfall. Every new area makes the game new and exciting and leveling up is great.

I have a level 14 (right now) Gnome Warlock named Permetheus. Great game, after about 100 hours of gameplay and when I get to like level 60 I'll write up about it.

All about me! (yay)

So I'm newish to gamespot and not really an active member, but I've got experience in video games themselves. I'd like to use this as my first post and thus let you all in on my theorys/thoughts on video games. The top 5 video games EVER made in my mind as of May 2007 (right now as I post) are as follows;

1- The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, because of the new 3D world of hyrule on the N64 this was the most revolutional zelda game with its extensive graphics, gameplay and intense plot with significant twists and memorable characters and all kinds of jokes and parodies spawned.

2- Dragon Quest 8 Journey of the cursed king, because its the very deffinition of RPG, no "change" in the gameplay, aside from some mini games and plot mini games. The story is so basic and the gameplay is too, but they have no flaws what so ever, no complaints about anything about it. Best RPG nuff said.

3- Super Smash Bros Melee, because Mario is the best game character and so is link, beating the crap out of other nintendo characters in a fighting engine that is more addicting than crack. The bonus games and gameplay add a nice spice and again the jokes and parodies spawned as well.

4- Paper Mario (the first one, on the N64), because you got to explore Mushroom kingdom in an awsome view and the amazing story and gameplay draw you in.

5- Super Mario Sunshine, because of the amazing graphics on GC and the totally addicting gameplay that always had new styles each level to keep me interested.

Clearly I'm a Nintendo fan and I do tend to enjoy the larger more "epic" games, I'm not one for the indie or 3rd party games, I'm for the name and the history to back up the game. Those are just my favourite games, I mean I also like a bunch of other games, don't get me wrong. I'd have to say some other favs are Megaman 64, spiderman (pretty much all spiderman games except the first movie's game version). Although lately I have been delving into comics a little more. I have a large interest in having my own webpage one day (tis not hard, but a webpage should have actual viewers, so I'd need to plan it really well, lol). I do flash animation (and game design, but I have mixed feelings on making games in flash, I hate programming...) and I'm good at flash but I won't make a real animated short cuz I don't just want to make some crappy punch line animation or random fight sequence, so again I hold back that...

The second I get my hands on a hefty collection of comics I might start a fan-made topical site on comics. With a blog and I could do reports on series and have comments and maybe have a forum... I dunno, I'd need to get a few subscriptions and buy the site... everything costs money...

Anyhoo, add me as a friend or whatever... later.
