You can't say that the Wii and 360 would have sold out at launch if they had 220k units, because as you say, they didn't ship with that many. Anyone claiming they would have is simply making things up. The fact is, the PS3 is doing well. It's sold more units at launch than any other home console in UK history.
Just because it didn't sell out doesn't mean it's a failure, so anyone who believes this to be the case, please explain to me why? The PS3 has sold more than twice as many as the 360 supplied. Sony managed to exceed demand, menaing that not only did they have the most successful launch in history, anyone now reading about it can go and walk into the store and buy one. How is that a bad thing?
For Sony it's damned if you do damned if you don't. If they only provided 100k consoles and sold them all out the haters would talk about production problems and how the system is screwed. If they actually ship more than demand and have a successful launch and set records(like they did) then it's that the console flopped because it didn't sell out. agreed. good news or bad news.
uncharted is 1st party, Sony owns Naughty Dog ninja gaiden sigma is exclusive but a remake nevertheless and la noire is not exclusive. there is nothing left.
