[QUOTE="000000000111"][QUOTE="Marka1700"] Guess who makes the panels for most Bravias.NVIDIATI

I'm kind of partial to the Bravia engine, 40" Bravia in my bedroom and a 55" Bravia in the Living Room. I will admit, though, the new Samsungs do have a pretty decent picture.

Which new Samsungs and decent compared to what?

55" Samsung LCD compared with the equivalent 55" Bravia. At the time both were close to the same price, now it seems as if the Sony's price has had one heck of a price drop.

[QUOTE="000000000111"][QUOTE="NVIDIATI"]

Burn-in stopped being an issue in 2007.

NVIDIATI

And what would be the reason new plasmas still experience burn in??? I had to run a break-in dvd on my stepdads new plasma just to get the TNT logo off the bottom of the screen. He left it on over a weekend while he and my mom were out of town... "it kept the dog entertained" (**facepalm**).

Its not impossible for it to happen on most sets, but its very hard considering all the countermeasures plasma's have. Something is obviously wrong with that plasma, or there is some sort of misuse as that is not something that would happen normally. Also what brand and model was that plasma?

Cnet 2008: "When we review plasmas here at CNET, most of them--including many budget models--don't experience any problems with burn-in."

Samsung PN50C550G1F is the model he has, it's approx. 2 months old (tried to link but kept erroring). I don't know any of the settings, he just calls me when his tech "isn't working."

This is the old German cure: you buy a bottle of white wine, pour it into a pot and mix it with sugar. You heat it up on the stove until right before boiling. Drink it all down. You'll get drunk and fall asleep. When you wake up you'll forget you ever had that cold.

Similar to this but quicker: Get a bottle of Wild Turkey, and bottoms up. You don't have to pass out, but you'll forget about that cold in no time...

If you enjoyed anything before NFS:Underground you'll love it. You say "after NFS: Underground 2 most of them became crap", imo NFS became crap when they announced they were making Underground 1.

This is the HDTV I have. I have an HD DirecTV receiver and a 360 hooked into it, both through HDMI. I have experienced none of the negative issues most people bring up when they start talking about how LCD-TVs are bad for gaming or movies. LED is really just an overpriced LCD, no reason to splurge unless you just want to brag on how you have an LED-TV.

On those two you have listed:

The Samsung is a good TV but 120Hz is really just a gimmick.

And for the Vizio... I wouldn't refer Vizio TVs to people I hate, although most brag on them.

Just prepare yourself for a *load of plasma references, because most people here are kind of biased towards them.

Try another coupling if you have one, if not here is one that is quite cheap. Also if you have a TV that has a PC input you may want to test audio on it, you could have a bad 360 VGA cable.

Do the speakers work with your PC? If so something may be hooked up wrong between your 360 and the speakers.

[QUOTE="nocoolnamejim"]I saw someone put their immortal soul up for auction on ebay once. Site administrators ended up stepping in and canceling the sale because the seller "could not prove delivery".

A friend of mine done this, the price was at $1500 when eBay took it down. The strangest thing I have ever seen for sale on the Internet has to have been a half-eaten ham sandwich and half-eaten Snickers bar some random guy was selling on eBay... the "half-eaten meal deal" was taken down because of shipping concerns.
