#4: Donkey Kong Country Returns

This feels like the first truly great Donkey Kong since DK64. Jungle Climber was pretty good, but I didn't like Jungle Beat or Barrel Blast. This was awesome. The level design is amazing, the graphics are great, and the game was just plain fun. There is one big problem. This game is VERY hard. I enjoy a good challenge, but at times, it just felt unfair. But it's not enough to kill the whole game. Overall, this game is amazing.

#6: No More Heroes 2

No More Heroes 2, in my opinion was a lot better than the first. The story is awesome, the boss battles are amazing, I love the 8-bit minigames, and the music is "catchy as hell". The biggest problem I had was the final boss. Henry was an amazing final boss, but Jasper Batt Jr. was cheap and unfair. But I guess it wasn't that big of a deal. I just hope NMH3 will be as good as this one (if they decide on making a third one).

Overall rating: 9.25/10

#5: Persona 3 Portable

Ok, I feel bad about putting a remake this high on the list. I'd also feel bad if I didn't, because Persona 3 on the PS2 is one of my favorite games of all time. Sure, the graphics are a bit worse than the original, but fans of the series will definitely want to play this one as well.

#7: Kirby's Epic Yarn

Kirby's Epic Yarn is the first Kirby on a home console in seven years. The level designs are amazing, the power-ups are fun to use, and the game is just plain fun. But I have one major problem. The game is WAY too easy. It's impossible to die. Seriously. No matter what, you're going to finish the game at one point. But for some people, that's not necessarily a bad thing. While Epic Yarn isn't as good as Amazing Mirror or Super Star, it's still a great Kirby game.

Overall score: 9.0/10

#8: Pokemon HearGold/SoulSilver

As some of you may know, I am a big fan of Pokemon. So why is HG/SS so low on my list? Well, it's basically just Gold/Silver remade with the Diamond/Pearl formula. But that doesn't mean it's not fun. Sure, HG/SS may just be a remake, but I spent a lot of time on this game. I guess this was Nintendo's way of keeping fans occupied until Black/White comes out.

#9: Dragon Quest IX

This Dragon Quest got almost everything right. The graphics are amazing, the controls work well, and there are no more random encounters (except for on the boat). But it has some problems. It's nice that you are able to battle monsters locally, but the lack of online battling sucks. The game also requires some grinding. It's not the best Dragon Quest ever made, it comes pretty damn close.

Overall score: 8.75/10

#10: Sonic Colors

Holy crap. A 3D Sonic game. And it's good!

Sonic Colors is the best 3D Sonic game since Heroes. It did almost everything right. The controls are amazing, the new voice actors are great, the graphics are some of the best on the Wii, and the level design is amazing. But it has a few problems. The boss fights are incredibly easy, with the exception of the final boss, the game was a bit short, and I hated the moving springs. These minor problems aren't enough to make this game bad, though. While this wasn't as good as Sonic Heroes, it's nice to know SEGA is getting back on track.

Overall score: 8.75/10

I finally finished Sekirei and Ninja Nonsense.

I'm about halfway through K-ON!! season 2, and I started When They Cry 2.

I'm about halfway through No More Heroes 2.

So far, it's been a lot better than the first.
