The Beginning...
It began when I was born from my mother's womb... one of the biggest turning points in my career. I couldn't walk yet, so what better to do than sit down and watch my brothers play Mario Bros. on the NES? I cannot remember the first time I tried video games, but I do remember that I was pretty good at them. I played a little bit of Mario Bros. when my brothers Paul or Todd would borrow it. Then, very soon, my nephew got a Super Nintendo (SNES). And somewhere around - or before - that, I also played a little bit of Street Fighter II, my brother Todd's favorite style of video games at the time. I played that but never really got a good sense of strategy of tricks moves going. But I studied up a bit on Ryu and Ken and had a little fun with other characters as well... experimenting. Anyway, my nephew got Super Mario World and I "helped" him beat it. Well, he beat some easy stuff, and I beat the rest of it. LoL, then came other games including some football games and Donkey Kong Country. My brother Paul, my nephew Jon (a year and a half younger than me), and I loved Donkey Kong Country and played it a ton!! Then Paul left and Jon got Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest followed by Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie's Double Trouble. Of course that was over a spread out period of time, and we had fun times. O the memories... seared into my head... in a good way, of course. Jon also got some other games (mainly rented) like Super Mario RPG (one of my all-time favorites) and others. Soon, my parents got me a SNES since I was hooked to my nephew's Yoshi's Island games. But I didn't get it and I was slightly heart-broken, but I really felt bad recently over my selfishness and apologized to my father, who bought it for me.... lol. He didn't remember anything... of course. Anyway, yeah, Yoshi's Island was awesome. I also spent time playing some Sega games such as Earth Worm Jim and Killer Instinct (I know it's also on SNES). By the way, the game that I got for Super Nintendo, and was stuck with, was Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World (one pak). I had lots of fun with it, but my brothers (when they visited) enjoyed the games on it - such as the Mario Bros. remake Super Mario Bros. - so much more than I did. Anyways, then came the time somewhere in my life (I think around 1996-1997) where my dad got a Playstation from a friend and I got to play Need For Speed, Ridge Racer V, and Twisted Metal along with In The Hunt. All really fun! So then comes the next book in my saga.
