Fallen Enchantress looks interesting and I'm thinking about downloading Sins of a Solar Empire demo. Does anyone know of any strategic leveling games? That's what I'm really interested in.

Well... summer is coming up and I'm looking for a new game to keep me entertained. My favorite game genre is strategy. I also like simulation type games. Just so you can kind of get a feel for what type of games I like, here is a list of my favorites and why I like them.

1. Starcraft 2: Very fun RTS.

2. Skyrim: Love the open world and character building aspects.

3. Minecraft: I eventually got sick of this game but I really liked the freedom and creativity of it.

4. Civilization V: I was hesitant to put this one down because I think that it is too simple. I get kinda bored with it.

5. Rome Total War: Love the Campaign map strategy and the RTS strategy however, I can't stand the awful diplomacy.

Ok, so know that you know what type of gamer I am, let me tell you what I'm looking for. I am wanting a strategy multiplayer game that involves leveling up. I've considered LeagueOfLegends but I wish that the levels you gained would carry over to other games. Please don't mention browser based games or games like Kingdoms of Camelot. Oh ya, I also LOVE player based economies. I tried playing EVE Online and I thought it was interesting but the spreadsheets started to bore me; I like hands on things. Anyways, if you know of any games that fit one or more of these aspects please let me know what they are.

I never played any of the games from the 90s when they game out. However, I have gone back and visited them and have found they are much more rich games. I feel that now days games are all about blood, guts, violence, gore and guns. The old games were a piece of art. Because of the lack of graphics games companies were forced to make up for that by hiring and using good artists to make sprites and scenery. Now everything is 3D and has a cheesy look to it. A great example of this is Diablo 2 compared to Diablo 3. Diablo 2s gothic art, story and music style added so much to the game but Diablo 3s cheesy graphics, mediocre music and lame story ruined the game for me. So anyways I am looking for a game that is a piece of art. I also love to think, so I would prefer a game that takes some strategy or thought. I am thinking about getting baldur's gate 2 because of the art, story, and strategy. Please help!

I have Sup Com 2 but I don't care for it too much because there are no good defenses or any good base building. Is the first one or forged alliance any better?

I forgot to mention Rome:Total War. I also have that. I will check out Rise of Nations though. Also I don't mind old graphics. I actually prefer AOE 2 graphics to AOE3 graphics.

Um not really. Terraria doesn't have the game aspect I want, and AOE online doesn't have the creativity I want.

I love RTS games. They are my favorite! However, I am getting kinda sick of the one I have. I currently own, Starcraft 1, Starcraft 2, Age of Empires 3, Supreme Commander, and Age of Mythology. I want the next game I get to have a focus on base building and I want it to be more complex that the AOE series. Those are just too simple. I have thought about Knights of Honor or Seven Kingdoms 2 but am worried they will be too boring. I tried Sins of a Solar Empire demo and got bored after the first tutorial. I want the game to have 1999 graphics or better. I can't stand anything worse (like C&C tiberian dawn or Total annihilation) I also want the game to have strong defenses. I want to be able to do a bit of turtling. Not an excessive amount, just a little. Is there such thing as a game like that out there? Thanks
