Netbooks are not meant to be used for video editing. They are simple computers made for portability. Netbooks don't even have a fire-wire port to load video from a mini DV camera. Finial line, no, don't even think about using a netbook for such a task. They should only be used for email, Internet, word processing on the go, not for video editing.

After Effects is for adding video FX, not for cutting or uploading video to the computer. Premiere is a NLE (Non Linear Editor) that you use to cut your video and add some basic FX. The work flow usaly goes to Premiere first then, when your video is cut, you use After Effects to add the FX.
Canon HV30 or Canon HV40. Both excellent cameras for the money. I own an HV20 myself, best camera I ever had.
I tend to enjoy Canon products more. I think theybetter service, optics and tech than Sony.
I had the same problem, just go to this site and download the fake VPN on you iPhone.

You can video edit better, and make motion graphics faster. Almost all CS3 and CS4 products(Photo shop, Premiere, Encore, After Effects etc.) will run better. But if your not into this kind of thing, nothing will really change, other than game performance.
I have an iphone in Canada with Fido and im not paying for a data plan. I have no data, but I did need to pay $50 extra for the phone when I got it. All I use is wi-fi, witch there is a hotspot almost every were I go.
