can you get high definition through S-video or only component cables?

Can DVI support high definition? If it can how.

Is high definition only available through 60hz or only 50z

Is there anything else i should know?

I really have no idea about this stuff so please bear with me and try to help me.

I wanna play some of the ps2 games i have but they arent able to play through emulation of the ps3. Can anyone help and by the way im in Australia.

Metal Gear Solid 2 isn't compatible. MGS3 works somewhat but whenever i try to pause it the game freezes. Hopefully they'll sort all these problems out with a firmware update soon. And i hope they release the meory card adapter soon.Sephiroth90_3

okay, if i want to get a computer monitor that supports a a resolution of 1660 x 1050 will i get high definition out of it and if i can which resolutions will i get. I also wanted to know if i use a VGA cable can i still get high definition out of it or does the cable have to be componet/HDMI. Im not to familiar with this stuff so any help is appreciated.Thanks.
