PS3 and Xbox 360 (unbiased look by me)

PS3 = teh Cell and teh Blue Rai

Xbox360 = teh Unified Shaders and teh HardDrive

For the PS3 we all know that the Cell processor integrates itself with the RSX gpu to produce movie quality graphics once game programers figure out how to fully utilize the SPE's a few years from now. And the Blue Rai will contribute to it by giving the extra storage space that will be required in the future. At the beginning games will come in standard Dual Layer DVDs since Blue Rai disc are about ten dollars more expensive to make plus the extra storege is not yet required for games. The only problem I see now with the system is that the PS3 doesn't include a Hard Drive in the box so you'll have to buy it apart. Not having an HDD standard means that developers won't take advantage of it for their games since not everyone will have one. I suppose you will have to download game patches to your memory card instead to address the online play glitches that are discovered. All in all, if you own an HD-TV (or two) the PS3 sounds like a good investment since you can also watch high definition movies on it.

The Xbox 360 will have the first GPU ever with an Unified Shaders architecture which will take full advantage of Direct X 10. It will also include a Hard Drive wich is a complete necessity for online. The HardDrive allows you to download patches to prevent cheaters from using glitches and etcetera to ruin the game for everyone. Everyone that games online knows how important that is. The HDD will also be used to download game demos and trailers so that you can preview before you buy which is a great thing indeed. Also, every game allows you to play your own mp3 songs during gameplay. You can use voice chat in every game with the included headset mic. You can also do Video Chat with the camera (not included). The Xbox Live 360 program is the main selling point of the system.

Both systems will offer graphics comparable to high end PC's for the next year or two. We will have to wait a few years until programers learn how to fully utilize the muli-core CPU and unified shaders GPU of the Xbox360 to see what it is truly capable of. The same thing can be said about PS3 and the Cell. Developers have come out and said that they have no idea how to program for the SPE's. So they are using it as if it were a common single core CPU. But all that will change in the future.

Playstation 2 almost made me go blind.

I bought a PS2 in October 26, 2000. It then died on me by the end of 2003. But man, I remember I used to love the graphics that thing produced. But now... now I can't stand them. It's very very hard to play the thing for more than an hour. I was trying to play GTA: SA and a few other games but the graphics are HORRIBLE. It's a strain to the eyes all those jaggies, low resolution, and slow ass framerate. My eyes end up hurting badly after playing it for a few minutes. I don't care how good GTA: SA is... the PS2 version has way way too sucky graphics to be playable. I think we don't need a new Xbox yet, what I think is that we need a new Playstation like right now. The PS3 should be the first one to come out and not the Xbox360. Maybe i'm spoiled by the great graphics that my PC produces, but then again, my GameCube produces graphics that look way better than the PS2. I still see the GameCube's graphics as good (nowhere near as good as PC though). They are bearable. But the PS2 isn't. So come on Sony... bring out the PS3 already, PS2 is way outdated.

Battlefield 2 = teh awesome!

Yes, I downloaded the Battlefield 2 demo and played on 64 player servers and it was amazing. So much is going on around you that it feels like you're part of a real war. Especially with all the vehicles. Of course... I crashed every Jet and Helicopter I attempted to drive, so I decided to be a passenger and not a driver in them. I enjoyed the demo so much that I might possibly buy the game soon.

:)

today....

...I installed an extra two sticks of RAM. Now I have a total of 1GB of RAM. The funny thing is that the two new sticks are PC3200 (400mhz) like the two old ones but the RAM on my PC is now running at 333mhz. Now I have to figure out what the hell is going on. And make my RAM run at 400mhz like it is supposed to. I remember when I upgraded my videocard last year it was such a headache and now, after upgrading my ram, I have to go trough another installation problems headache.

I'm addicted!!!

To Counterstrike Source that is. :D
The game is so amazing I just can't have enough of it. I play it every day for hours on end. I only play on servers with team damage off because I have already been banned from all servers with team damage on since I always betrayed my team. I used to play as a terrorist but now I prefer to be a counter terrorist since they have better weapons. If anyone want to play with me then add me to your friends list in Xfire. My Xfire username is kakulin.

I'm so ****ing pissed off!!!

A girl friend of mine turned her back on me. The reason? She was brain washed against me by her new friends. She now totally ignores me and acts as if I never existed. She does not even answer my calls. It's not cool to betray your friends. :evil:And more so without giving an explanation. :x But i'll make sure I get to the bottom of this.
