So basically, you just went up to someone you knew wouldn't understand English, but ordered food in English anyway, and then behaved like a condescending jerk towards them as they struggled with a language they have no hope of understanding?

well my friends told me that i made fun of them by not speaking in lithuanian :/

last night i was hanging out with my friends at mcdonald's and suddenly had the urge to order my food in english and this is how the conversation went:

me:hello, i would like to order a hamburger.
she: hello...
me:a col...
she: wait be here i no english.
"a different girl comes to the counter"
she: hi there
me: (i repeated the order)
she: wait burger cheese yes?
me: hamburgers don't have cheese in them.
she: ohhh. ok.
me: so how much for the food?
she: look on price on paper.
me: "gives money"
she: ok have good food!
me: right....

and when i sat down near my friends all the employees where looking at me like they had a grudge against me..
so OT can you tell me if i was being arrogant?

i personally would rather be a cat
