[QUOTE="1stCommando"]No, it just helps time pass. I have a 3 hour break from 12AM to 3AM until I have to go back out at 3:00 AM to work on the farm. It's not worth sleeping.methree15
No sleep? That is hardcore to the max.
I sleep. I sleep from 6-9PM and from 5-7AM on school days. But I only have school 3 days a week when it's cotton season.I like discussing things like this.
Ok first, I'm not racist, I just hate those typical "gangstas" that you see walking around the mall grabbing their crotch with their pants down to their knees and the flat bill hat turned sideways. They have nicer cars than they have houses...
2nd, I know the South is known for racism, but we have such a huge black population that we've accepted them. I mean yeah, my uncle is in the KKK and I know there are a still a lot of racists down here, but we have for the most part learned to get along.
Don't feel guilty, it's not like you played a role in the slavery. My family use to have slaves working on our farm back in the 1800s, but not anymore.
i never got anything. I was forced to go hunting as a kid, but it was like 3 1/2 hours away and since it was that far away we were out there like at 6:00 am and didn't get home until after 9:00. I only saw like 1 deer out of all the times i went hunting, and we were walking and i didn't even think to shoot. Guess i'm not made out to be a hunter :(Poedon3 1/2 hours!? Man that sucks! You should hunt on our land. I guarantee you'd kill something. I see at least 5 deer running around our farm every day, and there's usually 1 or 2 groups of turkeys here. Too bad deer season's over, but just wait until november.
Alright, you shot a number of completely defenseless animals for your own personal pleasure. Congratulations. elblanquito_81Read the posts above. Turtles eat our cotton, and SmashBrosLegend is right, snapping turtles eat the fish in the pond. I'm gonna eat the turkey. Why would I walk away from the biggest turkey I've seen in my entire life?
I was hanging out near a little pond on the other side of our farm today, and I had my 30-30 with me. I was just shooting beer bottles and turtles until I saw a HUGE turkey about 50 yards away. I got up and slowly walked as close as I could to it. I aimed, and shot it in the neck. It dropped instantly. So I strapped it on my 4-Wheeler and rode back to the house, and I got a tape measurer, and measured it. The beard was 13.75 inches long! It weighted 23 pounds too! I've never shot anything close to as big as this one before. My old record was a 6 inch beard and a 16 pounder. Me and my dad are gonna see if it's some kind of county record or something tomorrow. Now I know some of you are gonna say, "the turkey I had for thanksgiving was bigger than that". Well those turkeys are farm-raised not wild. This is HUGE for a wild turkey. I can't get it off my mind!
So the measurements are:
Beard: 13.75
Weight: 23 pound turkey(with feathers0
