Sony made some bad decisions on the PS3 that will forever bottleneck the console. And now that the console life cycles are coming to an end, the 360 still proves itself Graphically superior to the PS3, even after five years of playing catch up and cutting corners.

1.) It's 2012 and Multiplats are still superior on the 360, even if only marginally. Most issues with PS3 multiplats are framerate issues and AA issues. Now after five years, it's obvious that the PS3 does AA poorly, even MLAA can only go so far. Framerate and AA issues are clearly signs of weaker hardware, All PC gamers can agree on this.

2.) The Biggest multiplats are inferior on the PS3; Crysis 1&2, RAGE, COD. Now to use the same excuse that the developers just arent pushing the PS3 hard enough is old. I mean it's been five years and both consoles are clearly pushed to the max. But it turns out that the 360 just have a little more juice that's more easily accesible. Crytek and RAGE have put millions into coding for the PS3 and it shows the bottleneck of the console.

3.) The two biggest PS3 Graphical marvels (UC3/KZ3) have never used Multi-Sampling AA online because the console just dont have enough juice for it. Now hear me out, if the PS3 had some hidden power, don't you think UC3 & KZ3 would find some way to squeeze in MSAA after cutting corners with UC2 & KZ2? Not possible, instead they seek out cheaper alternatives and cut more details, effects from the predecessor. They have never even surpassed the 360 Graphical marvel (Geow2) which had enough juice to incorporate MSAA into online Multiplayer.

Five years later, the PS3 clearly shows it's bottleneck. It will always have framerate issues and always seeking out cheaper AA alternatives due to the decisions Sony made when developing the PS3

I think this was a pretty lame stunt to be honest.

The purpose of teasers is to spike interest in a product and raise expectations for something, but whats the point in a commercial for a commercial? When its something so stupid like this it will always lead to disappointment.

Whats worse they tried and make it look like they did it for loyal PS3 gamers, did everyone miss the fact that they advertised the PS3 at the end for $249, if it was a thankyou why are they advitising a console we would already have? they are not gonna thank us for owning a 360 are they?

They aimed to generate hype knowing full damn well they would disapoint, you don't release a teaser to say thankyou, when My mother minded my kids on saturday, I said 'thank you' beforehand and again when I got home, I did not hand her a card with 5th/10/2011 on it and post a message on her facebook this morning telling her 'thank you'.

Its a good advert, but the only people that benefit from it is Sony, in what way does it benefit me or any other loyal gamer? Only Sony would pass that s**t off as tease worthy. People should not hate on people who have independent thought, not all of us are as narrow minded as Sony brown noses as we don't feel the need to pander to every PR stunt Sony creates i.e. No Kevin butler is not Awesome he is a tool and I don't give a crap about his adverts, it's the games that get me interested in Sony, not some old fool with one foot in the grave. This is blatant self-promotion to make them money. If they wanted to thank gamers they could release a worthwhile firmware update that fixes problems with the XMB that does not strip our PS3s of functionality. If this ad was just release without fuss I don't think it would have caused any gamer disapointment.

I was actually hoping for a new PSN service but this isnt that bad, i mean you got to admit the ad was pretty well done. at the end of the day we didnt lose anything. boy i dont know why im even replying :P. some people take minor things way too seriously

I agree the ad was excellent, but its frustrating for gamers when there are obvious faults with the PS3s OS that need to be addressed and they tease at something and its for a commercial that's pointless, I am not unhappy with the ad released, i'm unhappy with the circumstances in which the ad was released.

Jeez thats night and day.

XboximusPrime

back in the day when thereWAS a legit difference between most multiplatform games on one console.

It puts into perspective really, as the differences these days are minor at best.

[QUOTE="DerekLoffin"][QUOTE="navyguy21"]How can it possibly be the Xbox version? You think MS would agree to that? Even though Ubi owns the game, you would still have to get agreement from MS since it was that version was licensed on the platform..........similar to Ninty not allowing Goldeneye even though Rare developed the game. Come on people, it will be the PS2 version........common senseRandoIph
For one, MS doesn't own the game, they simply allowed it's release on Xbox, quite a difference. In fact, all of them were published by Ubisoft. Nintendo actually published Goldeneye at the time, hence why Rare couldn't rerelease it. Basically, MS has no say in this matter.

Yeah, i think that fellow has a general lack of understanding how these things work. Ubi owns all builds of the games, and it's likely they'll use the best build, which would actually be the PC, not Xbox.

3 Splinter cell games on 1 blu-ray from the PC builds would be Great, that for me would be game of the year 2011 :P

Golden Eye was an exclusive, Splinter Cell was not. Plus the 360 builds of games get ported to PS3 and Vice versa all the time. I would not think giving the Xbox build as HD remake on the PS3 would be a problem.
