I actually thought Microsoft's conference was amazing. They showed many many games, which is mostly what matters.
However, pricing at £430 in the UK is a rip off, for reference that is MORE than what the PS3 launched at in the UK. This coupled with DRM pushes me right away from the Xbox One, which is a masssive shame as there are so many cool looking exclusive on the One.
And to this smartphone debate, what are you on about? You do not need a data connection for a smartphone to work as a phone, I have had a smartphone for the last 3 years, and have only had 3G services for the first year of that, I can still use my phone quite happily :?

Hmmm, I guess it might be just my phone then. Apologies for my assertion, but the debate still stands. People are forced to data plans to get the phone they want and that is a breach on consumer rights just as much as the Xbox One is. But not really you can always go to a provider that has unlimited data plans, or be grandfathered in like me so you can never leave lol.
