meh. this arguement gets old.

It will take people a long time to switch into Windows Vista anyway. Don't expect anything too soon.

I can tell you one thing though. As a PC gamer and someone who spends more time doing PC stuff than anything, Blue-Ray is ALOT more appealing for PC than HD-DVD is.

alfy13

not true. appealing how? how is either really more appealing than the other? i think you are 100% wrong. if one is not appealing, then niether will the other be. and vice versa.

Blue-Ray has a much higher storage capability than HD-DVD. HD-DVD maxes out between 30-40gigs. Blue-Ray has been pushed up to 100gigs so far. As a PC person, this is MUCH more appealing. Especially when you have as much crap as I have that needs to be backed up :)

Have you heard OF HARD DRIVES, there some that are external if you havent heard

yeah, but disks are easier to take with you :)

yes but your forgetting how EXpensive blu-ray is, how much will the disk cost, jus the drive alone will cost alot

Ignorance is truely bliss with a statement like that. Prices change as technology becomes cheaper. It's not always going to be $700 to add blue-ray to your PC. It's not always going to be $3000 for a 1080p HDTV, it's not always going to be $600 for an 8800GTX.... seriously think logically and stop trolling and wanting Microsoft and the 360 to win whatever any way.

ofcourse there going to drop in price you dumb dumb but think stop and think please if HD-DVD drives for pc are already 100 dollars to add think how much cheapr it will be later on it will always be cheaper then blu-ray and you know this, dont get mad at me because of Blu-ray costing so much

wow finally someone put 2k in his place. thainks kyo

I got the last word so guess who put who in there place

true, very true. but from reading all your post. you sound like someone with no common sense at all. but yah your right, you got the last word. let me give you a cookie.

I really dont know why your in here give us your tought let us know what you think see how much sence you make, your probably a COW that bought a PS3 without know what Blu-ray was

[QUOTE="Hewkii"][QUOTE="2kurupt"] I tought XP was garbage but hey look we are all using it SAME thing will hapen with VISTA

garbage can be bought in great numbers, and it is still garbage. face it, it would take something on the order of magnitude of ME or so to get people to leave Windows in great numbers.

Garbage can be very popular to look at the PS3 its garbage and people are paying 600 dollars for it

yes you did and I am amazed but I also just show you how much more the BLu-ray drive will cost from DELL and I dont know about you but I have 2 computers and they happen to be DELL, at work everysingle computer is HP they are the 2 biggest computer manufactures not SONY or TOSHIBA, and if we where to compare DELL to HP its a big difference not what you show me SONY and TOSHIBA

[QUOTE="cobrax25"]and your point is what? I just showed you 2 nearly identical computers that showcase the different formats and cost nearly the same price...

Point is that DELL and HP are the biggest computer manufactures therefore, they will make a difference on what people whant if I dont know what blu-ray is and im buying a computer from dell and they tell me its going to cost you 880 dollars more I would tell them to shove it up there a@@, now HP if they tell me if I whant HD-DVD and they tell me what is and how much more it will be only 100 dollars I would go for it

[QUOTE="2kurupt"][QUOTE="cobrax25"]once again blue-ray laptop http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16834117384 HD-DVD laptop http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16834114269 there about the same price. (blue-ray laptop slightly more expensive because of a faster clock speed and XP pro)

well here is a link for you on BLu-ray drive itself and it comes from DELL the biggest computer supporter http://search.dell.com/results.aspx?s=dhs&c=us&l=en&cs=19&k=blu-ray&cat=all

the Drive cost 870 dollars for blu-ray drive compare to 100 dollars from HP
