I've never even heard of PCP parties before. I think 19 is a little old to have your rents around but I think it was well rude of them to call you that.tofu-lion91
depends. my parents never leave. so my strategy is to invite family friends who are their age to keep them occupied with their own peers then me and my friends do our own thing and there is a level of mingling between the groups. All my friends are pretty level-headed so some good conversations and discussions go on at these events. Basically doesn't matter that my rents are there, they aren't intrusive (though they'll talk with my friends) and see me and my friends as young adults anyway, not children.. but i guess not everyone is in that position

[QUOTE="_en1gma_"][QUOTE="Memberino"]What the hell, why is everyone taking this thread seriously? Its a joke thread.Nifty_Shark

You are wrong. It isn't a joke thread.

I'm not sure if you are joking or not. You are being very serious it seems but maybe your just fooling all of us.

just say nothing.. and you won't appear to think one way or another. It's what politicians do whenever someone says something they don't understand

I'll say that i have played most horror games the industry has to offer, I've seen many different types of horror movies from the retro psychological to the 80's slasher to todays japanese ones. But just last year i saw someones finger meet the wrong way with a circular saw and i was still squirming weeks later.

Also your friends' friends sound spoiled whining about the fact that they couldn't shoot up at your birthday party.get-ka12
there's usually a perfectly good bathroom where they can do it and not bother anyone ^.^

[QUOTE="2x4b96123"]then you are honestly a tard though i wouldnt call PCP a party.. more of a 'movie night' but the kid is only 15.. let kids be kids, gosh woman! besides, if you want to go drinking THAT young, thats when you pay an adult in the street to buy it for you and then you take a case of drink to the park and drink it late into the night with friendsBiancaDK

here, this is for you:

So, the other day it was my birthday. I invited some girls and a couple of my friends to my party. I turned 19. I told them it was PCP party so they ended up bringing more friends. When they got there they saw my parents and called me a loser and left. I told them it was a Pizza, Chips, and Parents party. Am I getting to old for PCP parties? Does it really make me a loser?

an occasional event me and a few close friends have is beer, schnitzel and chips (steak fries to you americans).. and we have a mix of playing mini-pool and split-screen call of duty 2

if the girls are around, we play Wii instead

or we go to the city and see what weird and awesome things we can buy in chinatown

alcohol is not absolutely required. it is optional. it is always optional. nobody really cares if you drink or not. If these people care whether or not there is alcohol to drink then they obviously haven't outgrown that typical teenage immaturity regarding it. They don't have cars to drive home. Their parents probably give them money. They probably treat their parents like a taxi service. Don't worry.. people who don't outgrow this attitude crash and burn hard and will be the real losers when they fail the test of life

Short answer: Yes, you´re too old to be partying with your parents in near vicinity, and it does make you somewhat of a loser. Sorry.

Judgmental much? You won't be coming to any of my parties any time soon.

I´m sorry if my honesty offends you

Yeah I just did and deleted it.

If I was 19, I would hate parents there. But I am in Australia and because you are legally old enough to drink when you're 18 it'd be awkward with parents there.

MrsSolidSnake
not necessarily. My parents have no problem with people drinking (im also an Aussie. 19 btw) so long as people aren't vomiting anywhere or starting trouble. I just invite good friends of mine. and make it invite only. We light a fire in the yard, put on the barbecue, a case of beer in the esky, just call it dress up.. no theme. just come dressed as something iconic, that way you don't have people dressing to look hot, they dress to have fun. I don't invite people to a party to impress anyone, I invite people to have fun. If someone is on a high horse with a fixed inflexible idea of what is fun and what isn't or they NEED alcohol or they NEED drugs or they NEED something other than the people around them in good surroundings to have fun, then chances are they aren't my friend. I'm not opposed to any of the above, but they are meant to supplement a good situation when you're already having fun. not the other way around. My suggestion: choose your friends.

That's the thing. My friends like to vomit everywhere and start trouble. My parents have a massive issue with drinking, and may I add, dating. I've had my current boyfriend for over a month now and they still have no idea. They are wayyyyy to over-protective and I guess you're lucky that you get that leaneance. Btw, I'm only 15 so really, I don't drink too much.

lol, ahh the number of things i regret from the ages of 15-17... When I turned 18 I stopped drinking to get drunk.. these days i'll have maybe 6 beers in a night and a few shots And let me ask you this: are you really proud of your friends when you see them vomiting everywhere and starting trouble? would you go, stand with them and go 'yeah! these are my friends'.. Maybe your parents are that harsh on you because those are the kinds of friends you have?.. or would you say those friends are more a result of how tight you parents are that you just... break out.. when you get out of their grasp? lol, though my parents certainly wouldn't be happy with me having a bunch of drunk 15 & 16 year old kids running around... their asses are on the line if the cops are called in and kids that young generally don't know their limits as far as alcohol is concerned or have some kind of idea that the more grog they drink the better.
