@Darnasian I have tried remote play on my PSP while I was in Colorado and my PS3 was in Georgia. It worked fine over the internet. I'm sure the Vitas remote play is no different. It isn't perfect but theres definitely a use for it. If I'm at someone else's house, connected to their wifi, and I want to do some dungeon exploring with my Skyrim character, eventually that will be possible. This is an undeniably cool feature and i have no clue why you are so opposed to it.
@Darnasian no, it doesnt require the cable to be attached. The cable was attached in many of the videos, but in other videos, it was NOT attached. The cable was only atached to charge the vita or make sure the battery didnt run out during the video. Here is a video where the cable is not plugged in: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrYXsPMg9lM
@Mariner32 it is not the case YET. Sony has already said they intend to make most if not all PS3 games playable via remote play on the Vita through a future firmware update.
@ThGy007 it really isn't his job to report about his opinion on the system. I don't see any negative or positive reports on the 3DS, which I own and am quite fond of. And no he shouldn't lie to make me feel better. Everything he dislikes about the Vita is something that I like, the size, the User Interface, the ability to use 3G. As for multitasking, I'm sure it will be added later but for the moment it doesn't really bother me. He has a brand new device BEFORE it has even been launched in his area, he shouldn't expect it to be perfect, he should expect many bugs. I have tried the Vita several times at Best Buy and I am quite happy with it.
I hope this article turns this guy in the the next Jeff Gerstmann. Seriously, I don't come on Gamespot to have this guy bash a piece of gaming hardware that I am very much looking forward to. If he doesn't like the Vita, he should keep it to himself. Sony doesn't need any more negative attention surrounding the Vita, especially from the likes of Gamespot. I am genuinely disappointed.
