So while ago I I finished Uncharted 3, being a fan of the series and playing the other 2, I was hugely disappointed with the end of U3 the game spends 6h or so building up momentum, and then instead of ending with a bang it ends like somewhat like this:

Loading Video...

In all seriousness, I kept asking my self if it was really over.... Still an amazing game tho, just with a really bad ending.

the problem with aftermarket coolers is they blow hot air back into your case

if you have a micro atx case that is a big issue, especially if you are going for silence

I for once don't have that problem Benchtable FTW =P

This is no surprise, they needed to start manufacturing the consoles has soon has possible so I'm guessing they started production with the very basic Firmware, thus leaving everything that was't 100% for a launch patch, its a common practice in the gaming industry also, allot of games do the same, there's allot of day 1 patches for games, date lines are very complicated so they need to cram has much has possible until the production starts and then if needed finish until launch.

Personally this doesn't bother me, but I see this being an issue for a minority with problematic internet.

No, the 290 has less stream processors and a lower clock, and the problem with the cooling solution is that the reference cooler is the same that the 7000 series, those fans are incredibly loud since it can go all the way to 5000rpm but right now is caped at 55% because more then that can be very loud.

Once MSI/Gigabyte/XFX etc... release their versions with their cooling solution we should see some very interesting results, also I want to see how much headroom this card has overclocking once you put it under water.

You sound mad, own a titan by any chance?

nope. i own a old nvidia 6800gs and a AMD hd7670m.

besides the performance, there's nothing to like about a video card that puts out 95c degrees (heat) while running the fan at 100% @ 54 decibels. $550 might be a damn good price for this card (considering it's high performace), but noise and heat are factors to be considered as well. i mean WOW, that's louder than an old vantec tornado - ridiculous!

This is to be expected at that price point, its clear that AMD just cut costs and slapped the crappy cooler on to it, nobody should be buying the reference card, wait for the other ones to come out, the card has allot more potential in it but because of the reference cooler can't handle the heat(Fans only goes to 55% speed), it starts to throttle it down. My guess is when the other brand cards start to arrive we will see how far this card can go.

I'm more interested in the R9 290 tho, I think this card, can actually topple the 780 with an even lower price point.

They're still migrating that stuff over to the new site. Should be back soon enough.

Do hope so, I hope they start expanding on Podcasts, since to me that is one of the weak points of GS compared to other sites.

Just me that thinks that those prototypes look they have been hand made and look really tacky? Well still I would love to get my hands on one to test it out seems promising, I would actually put a steam box in my living room if this controller works properly.

Just for the record if you are just a Single Player gamer you are good with that TV, but if you want to also play Multiplayer/Online Games, Tvs will have a far bigger response latency then Monitors, we are talking +30ms. So its up to you and how you play games, also thats pretty overprice, for that you can get this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-S24C550VL-Monitor-250cd-1920x1080/dp/B00BFTRSWI/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1381587386&sr=1-1&keywords=monitor

Or this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-Ultrasharp-U2312HM-inch-Monitor/dp/B005MHMFJA/ref=sr_1_6?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1381587386&sr=1-6&keywords=monitor

That Dell has an IPS Panel.

Anyway its up to you.

Edit: On that note I just realize he might actually be talking about Console Gaming in that case My options still apply =P since you can just hook up a console to a regular monitor.

So I'v been listening to GS Podcast since 2010 I loved the Hotspot and had to see it die when Tom was fired, sadly at the Podcast/VideoCast Highest Point, since then the GS Podcast has been limping, yes Kevin took over, but from what I know it doesn't seem to have the time to put a proper Podcast together every week and lately is just getting worse, I'm a Podcast Addicted and I listen to GB and IGN podcast (IGN alone has several podcast of witch I listen to 4) also has they are both good, I'm hoping that with the site remodel they will pay attention to the Podcast, that is my favorite form of content, because I can always listen on the move.
