Yea i might just pick this game up, Ive always planned on buyin it, i was just thinkin of holdin off for a bit because of all these other games comin out, i might pick up this and halo 3 in 08.
After E3, i was as hyped as anyone about all the games coming out by december. I am anticipating games such as COD4, Assassins Creed, Bioshock, GTA4, Half Life The Orange Box, the new edition of Bully, and a few other games, maybe some sports games. Yes, there are so many great games comin out, Im doubting getting Halo 3 at its release, it will be too much money to afford all those games, but anyway, what is this Mass Effect game. I knew it was coming out and i took no interest in it, it jsut has such a lack of being hyped up, but i look around these forums and so many of you guys are going crazy for this game. Why? What is so special about this game? I looked into it. The graphics look great and it seems like an interesting RPG, and they way talking is done in the game is very unique. I read the interview the developer had with gamespot recently, and honestly, just as i was getting into the game, that kind of put me off of it. I believe there is a fine line between games that are cool because they are so vast and large, and games that are ridiculous. The Elder Scrolls series treaded on that line with their past two titles but they pulled it off. But what about Mass Effect, What is it, Oblivion in space? The developer said its impossible for someone to visit all the places in just one attempt of finishing the game. So what i wanted to know is how big is this game really? Is it like hundreds of planets? With cities on each planet? Can that be possible? I dont think I have the effort for something like that.
This game definitly has replayability. There are multiple ways to tackle every problem and solve all the mysteries the city has to offer, I believe the developers have stated that almost no two people that play it will have the same outcomes and experiences, so consider that for replayability.
i think bioshock will mainly because of the way the game looks and the replayability factor its promised to have. Im surprised none voted for Assasins Creed.
Last i checked at E3 i believe, Haze was made into a ps3 exclusive. Banjo threeie? whatever... Thanks for that info, i didnt know unreal was coming out for the 360 as well, i thought it was also an exclusive. Oh yea u heard about that ps3 game called infamous, it some type of sandbox game, it sounds cool but hopefully the 360 will have enough to hold it off in 2008.
Are you using an HD? That happens to me sometimes, turn off your 360, chagne the tv back to the channel where you watch television on and turn it off. Then turn the tv back on, and go about your steps to turning on your system. It works for me, its the hd, not the 360 as far as i can figure.
I am not one of those people who is like PS3 sucks and xbox rules blah blah blah blah. Im not a fanboy or anything, I just have a 360 and I like that the console I have is dominating the market comapred to the PS3. It seems that it will stay like this thorughout 2007, but 2008 does worry me. Does the 360 have any titles worth mentioning in 2008, especially exclusives? I think Fallout 3 (is that an exclusive) but other than that, im not too sure about what else is coming out. I know Sony has MGS4 and Killzone 2 and a bunch of games through 2008....well not a bunch of games, i think its just MGS4 and Killzone 2 but anyway, It seems to me Microsoft planned just a bit too much on the "now" phase, but what about the future?
This game looks amazing. I dont see it so much as an fps as all of you are calling it, I see it more as a first person action adventure game. I remeber reading somewhere that its this generations metroid prime, and that is slightly accurate. The game seems like a first person action adventure game with some rpg elements, anyone who says that it is just an fps is definitly mistaken.
