[QUOTE="Zeldaguy16"]Get a 100ft ethernet cable or something. Ethernet (wired) > Wireless.Thegameowner

100 foot? How big is your house? 25 foot was more than enought for me when I was wired, lol.

Quick question, is an ethernet cable just as gd as having wireless or are there any flaws in it apart from the wires? coz i cudnt get my xbox hooked up on live wen i used a wireless adapter

no advantage other than no cables.

Could be the router itself. I have problems sometimes with my laptop trying to use the same ip address as the router, which kicks it off.

Could be something else causing interferance too. Other electronics, or some piece of furniture.

Also, if your computer is on at the same time, that may or may not increase the flow of traffic on your router's network.

Just some thoughts.

Sleepysmoo2

thanks. ill call microsoft and see what they can tell me about it.

I think the Wireless Adapter SUCKS! I had it, didn't work.

Get a 100ft ethernet cable or something. Ethernet (wired) > Wireless.

Zeldaguy16

nah i dont like the cables stretching out everywhere... the wireless was just as good as wired when it was working.

Ah ok. Well perhaps it may just be the hosts bad connection. When host has a bad connection, everyone has a bad connection, even if you have a pretty decent one. DannyDelorian

Yeh i thought that at the start too but it is EVERY game... no matter what game i play. Maybe the adaptor is just shot to hell?

I guess something is interupting the signal between your comp/xbox and modem router.Thegameowner

Hmmmm any ideas on what that could be? I have used a wireless connection for my computer for nearly a year and this is the first time i have had these issues.

I'm affraid I can't help you with the computer, but if your ethernet cable works fine, then use that. Maybe your Xbox is too far from your router.

DannyDelorian

that cant be right because i have used the adaptor for 2 months and never had a problem with it, nomatter where i used it. the router is only next door to me so its not that. i acctually moved the router to my room just to check and it still didnt work.

i have the 360 wireless adaptor which worked flawlessly up for two months until 2 days ago. now i get unplayable lag in all my games for example a connection interupted message every 2 seconds in call of duty 4. i have tried an ethernet cable and plugged it into my router and it works fine so what should i do now? ring MS or just get a refund and hope it works? oh and there seems to be a problem whenever i turn on my computer (which is also a wireless internet connection) maybe there could be some connection issues? i really don't know why this has happened tbh....and its annyoing using a wired connection!
