Obviously I'm not going to call a country-metal album a classic because it's the only one I've heard. It's a classic because I think it's great, you don't think it's a classic because there isn't enough Phonte, and that's a ridiculous way to rate something. (unless the album would have benefited from having more Phonte, in this case it wouldn't have)

Future Development is a classic though, but let's leave Del out of this.

Of course it would've. :| The best parts of the album are Phonte. :| His verse in The Answer, Raw Life, they're some of the best rap verses ever. Phonte is obviously the star of the album.

Louis Logic & J.J. Brown - A Perfect Circle

This CD is superb. Louis Logic's flow is more methodical, he's slower, but he has more to say. His multi-syllable and double rhyming is better than ever. I like this album a lot more on the second listen. Right now it's the 4th best album of the year.

Whatever it is, it doesn't matter, it did it better than everyone else. I call it a classic because I have different/better taste than you.
rubbersouI

Wait, so because it's the only competition in a "genre" it's a classic? The album is slow and drags on, and there's too little Phonte. Besides three songs, any of the other songs aren't even in the top 50 of other LB / Justus League affiliated songs in their history. (And I can name all 50-plus if you doubt me.)

Different taste? Yes. Better? No. You think Del is amazing  and has classic albums. :|

Craig David - Hidden Agenda

Born To Do It was nothing special. It was solid. Exactly how I remembered David, really -- good for R&B, listenable, but nothing memorable.

[QUOTE="rubbersouI"] You're deducting points from a R&B album because there isn't enough rapping? :|

The album is a classic, no bones about it.

It's a rap album. :|

It's only a classic if you have low standards. If you call that a classic, I got 100 other albums -- quite literally -- that are classics too.

The Foreign Exchange - Hustle, Hustle

This album is pretty dissapointing :( I wanted more Phonte :(

Colt45fool

That album is a near-classic for me, Hopefully it grows on you....

The beats are really dope, Nicolay = that dude...but it's not necessairly a hip hop album...the album tends to focus on the production, more than any lyrics put on the album :? I guess that's alright...I'm still feelin' the album, I just expected better...and expected Phonte to be on every track :? How many is he on on this album? 10? Out of 17?

The album is solid, but it's nothing special for two main reasons:

1. Like you said, too little Phonte.
2. Too many instrumentals / musicals at the end of songs. Like on nearly every song the last 1 minute-plus is just music. I HAAAAAATE that. Nicolay's a good beat maker but he's not elite enough to get away with that.

Raw Life, The Answer, Downtime (Nicky Troutman Bounce to the Ounce Remix), All That You Are = best songs.

And the water song too. I forget it. But it's the epitome of Problem No. 2 -- it's too short on verses. It's only like 2 verses...

He said on Best Damn that the other time they were able to get back into the game after trailing Phoenix was when he got everyone involved. If he started jacking up 3's, sure he'd make a few, but the ones he'd miss would just fuel Phoenix's fast breaks. He said they needed to slow the game down by passing into the post for a better shot, and at least prevent Phoenix from scoring a quick basket. And he said he especially wanted to get other players involved so that they played better on defense. Whether he believes all that is anyone's guess, but he's right. Phoenix would love for Kobe to try to single handedly beat them, they said it all year.
rubbersouI

So why did he do it in Game 6? :|

[QUOTE="Lakersman2000"]*ive listened to more artist that you . wow thats one of the stupidest argument/statements ive ever heard . first off , in rap you havent and either way its irrelevent and a juvenile statement. nobodys favorite artist change everyother month like you , i dont hear orlando or anyone else all of a sudden calling vik the goat then 7les the god group than phonte and so on ....you have rap a.d.d. secondly , all you do is ride your flavor of the month all the time. no ones saying you cant bash it but when you say garbage like " im ashamed i even like them" - that ish is wack. supastition-hate my face.

I thought you'd learn by now not to take everything I -- or anyone else says -- 100% literally, as an absolute statement. :| It's not that difficult, buddy.

And it's actually fact btw.

I never called MF DOOM the goat btw, no need to lie.

And the only rap group better than 7L & Esoteric are Little Brothr ... who have my two favorite CDs and are my favorite group. All they did was push 7LES back to 3rd and 4th, respectively, on my all-time greatest CDs. :| Nice job flopping, though.

And you know you own this site when half of the forums are rooting against the Mavericks just because they're your team.

MarkSmith

I don't think anyone cares if the Mavs win or lose besides Mavs fans and LM, since he has money on it,

i agree, i only brought it up because some people here laughed that they weren't able to beat phoenix. i thought they completely surpassed expectations, yes even kobe.rubbersouI

Agreed on everything except on Kobe; he got way too much credit.

kobe explained why he didn't take many shots in the second half. i believe him and i'd agree, so whatever...

I remember hearing some BS explanation -- wasn't it like, "omg Phil told me to stick with the gameplan," LMAO. Rofl @ all the times he's broken out of gameplan. Rofl @ him passing up open shots. I'm sure Phil told him to attempt so few shots -- how many did he attempt, wasn't it like one or two? It's even more highly suspect cause whenever the Lakers were down by double-digits in the regular season, he would ALWAYS try to win the game single-handedly. Hell, in an earlier game in the series, I believe Game 6, when he scored 40+ points, he was jacking up everything in the 3rd and 4th quarters (though he was hot enough to warrant it).

Ocassionally :( I miss Max, and Michael Holley...but Michael Smith, and Tim Cowlishaw are entertaining enough for me...along with Wody, and Jay's occasional bursts :)

Max Kellerman was that dude though...owned the ish out of Reali.

Colt45fool

I, Max used to be my favorite show in the world... Too bad they cancelled it due to bad ratings; it took the best of Around the Horn and made it one incredible, ridiculously can't-miss show. Max was so funny; he's underused as just a boxing analyst.

Michael Smith is my favorite, but he's the only one I can stand. Jay Mariotti is, besides Skip Bayless and Bill Simmons, the worst sportswriter in the country.
