I don't think E3 will change my mind unless Sony completely blows Microsoft out of the water. I know Sony will have a great showing, but I am pretty sure Microsoft will too. I was just saying that a remake of Final Fantasy VII would be an instant selling point for me.
Also, after VII, none of the Final Fantasy games got me that excited. I played VIII and didn't like it. IX was decent but nothing great. X was good but I just never got into it like I did VII. I never played XII so I can't say anything on that. I don't know, the Final Fantasy Series just lost its appeal to me.
I guess I am what you guys call a Lemming since I have a XBox360. Before I got one, however, I had a PS2. Before that I had the PS1. I thought they were great systems and enjoyed playing them both. That is all besides the point though. Back to the point of this thread.
I don't have much interest in the PS3 right now. I agree that it is an amazing system with many title on the horizon, but none of them really grab my interest. Today, however, I was looking back at some of the older games I use to play and one of them jumped out at me as the best game I had ever played. It was Final Fantasy VII. I remember playing it when it first came out and being simply amazed at the story and characters. It was one of those games you use to judge very game you play after it.
I know that there was a tech demo made of the game to show off the PS3 power, but I don't think a remake was ever in plans. If there was a remake of Final Fantasy VII for the PS3, however, I would sell my XBox360 in a heartbeat and pick up a PS3. That is just me, however. What do you guys think?
The both of you are using the same dang point over and over again.
"They had an extra year. Of course they worked on the game for a year."
"You are assuming. You don't know if they used the whole year to improve it. Since you can't prove it, you are owned"
"Can you prove they have not been working on the game for an extra year? No, you are owned."
Now rinse and repeat starting from statement two and you have the arguement of this thread. And that has nothing to do with the thread topic. Yes, they had an extra year to work on the game. How much of the time they worked on it is unknown. You both are owned for assuming.
I do not think Alan Wake is going to appear on the PS3.
As for 360 vs. PC. I would think that the PC version would look somewhat better since it will have a more powerful system to work on. It is also a more expensive system and not everyone can affored to upgrade. It all balences out.
