You guys are being so racist.

Seriously.

MeriMorganov

I m not ...just take from my point of view for a sec. I like rap and im white but how am i supposed like a song that calls us wankstas ? and puts us down ?

Excatly why should we whites tolerate this!

You guys are being racist in a whiny childish way. You're claiming to be the victim of racism. Just stop kidding yourself.

So ifa person that makes fun of us because where different we are not allowed to stand up?

How are you being made fun of? The song wanksta has nothing to do with white people.

I mean in general. And I dont know what a "wanksta is i never heard that song, but I mean words like honkey and cracker being used by others so freely yet when we say their words they stand upfor them selves dont we have a right to do that to?

That's because the words honkie and cracka don't have any negative history to them. You honestly think that since black people can say honkie, we should be able to say the n-word?

All i was saying is that black people dont have to always wave the race card in their songs. If they want to forget about you know slavery and all that well they are the ones that bring it back up. Rap is intelligent to do but they always make songs that are just dumb. Like this one for example or 50 cents WANKSTA - so hes saying white people cant rap? Hey bud your buddy eminem is white...ct1257860

The song Wanksta was about a feud between 50 and another black rapper. It had nothing to do with white people. And black people don't want to forget about slavery. Those who cannot remember history are doomed to repeat it. Why would we want to forget slavery?

[QUOTE="8IbodI8"]White people who claim to be offended by rap lyrics that tell it like it is are some of the lamest people imaginable. You're a white kid on GameStop. Shut the hell up about how you're offended because I'm sure Ice Cube and lots of other black people have it a lot harder than you do.Trashface

It's not the lyrics that offend me, it's the double standard. If some popular white musical artist or group started writing lyrics complaining about black people, there's a good chance they would get strung up by society and the media.

Yeah, because white people as a race haven't been abused and opressed for hundreds of years.

This makes abosultely no difference. I didn't enslave anyone. That's the past. So you're saying that because their ancestors were enslaved, they should be privledged? You say they should complain about racism all the while being racist themselves? You're part of the problem. the past is the past. I'm very anti racist and I think there should be an organization that fights for equal rights of ALL races. Slavery is totally irrelevant in this discussion.

If you want equality for all races, why are you so mad at black people?

Yes, I'm sure Ice Cube does have it harder in his million dollar album contracts . Do you even hear yourself? Just because he's black he is automatically in a "plight" despite being a millionaire. Trust me, regardless of his skin color, he has it better than everyone here.

No, I meant before he hit it big. Obviously now he's got it good, but he came from a hard background, like many rappers.

[QUOTE="Slepanandiaz"][QUOTE="Bourbons3"][QUOTE="Trashface"]The black race in general has a big couble standard when it comes to racism. It claims to want equality, yet seperates itself with such blatantly racist things as miss black USA, BET, NAACP. The white race could never hold a miss white USA pageant. These are the things that annoy me. You can notice someone's race without letting it make any difference in any way.GettingTired

Don't forget black history month.

Where is the Native American History Month? In my opinion, they deserve it.

Agreed. Native American culture is the one that's going to soon be forgotten.

Um...I spent like four months of every year learning about Native Americans from fourth grade till like eighth grade. I highly doubt their culture is gonna be forgotten.
