I'm not a Star Wars fan. I don't hate it, I just never got into it. What I do know about has been through general pop culture, and from what I've seen (and in my rather unqualified opinion), the beta did an excellent job recreating the sites and sounds of the movies.
That being said, I know a thing or two about gameplay, and in that regard, the beta fell flat. There was something about the weapons that felt like I was firing a Super Soaker as opposed to a laser blaster (or whatever they're called). Run and shoot, run and shoot, run and shoot. Blah.
I don't believe GS is paid for these reviews. But I think it's shortsighted to make the claim "This is the Star Wars game you're looking for" and say very little about gameplay. That simply makes me suspicious of what the reviewer values in a game. FWIW, I do recognize the "droids you're looking for" reference.
@neowarrior793: It wouldn't necessarily kill the sequel. If anything, it's preparing the gamers for what's to come. Stranger things have happened. If WoW can introduce a paid option to go straight to level cap, microtransactions that affect gameplay performance in Destiny are definitely possible. It'll probably start as a Destiny 2 pre-order bonus, but then will be offered via microtransactions later. You're quite naive if you think that "it simply won't happen".
