@ewjiml @phbz @Megavideogamer An unpaid internship is an investment. Just like paying for college is an investment. The company was upfront about the terms of his employment. He should not have had grounds to sue.
And this argument about "doing the same job a permanent employee would do" is BS. Just because you wrote code, doesn't mean you were nearly as productive as a full time employee. That's generally why they are unpaid, because you cost the company to work there for such a short period of time.
@jameston80 @IxTNTxI I like the part where called him a fanboy and then include yourself in the cMS ollective by saying "We will have a lot of great games....."
I imagined your post coming from a pissed off teenager. And it really fits!
@yourdem1ze When PS3 came out, there was also a new media format. Sony made it compelling to get a PS3 instead of a separate blu ray player (which were nearly $1000 at the time). The price was actually right. You might need to take a class in economics.
I approach each F2P game with an open mind. First I play it for free to learn what it's all about. Then, I decide what I would pay for the game if the game wasn't F2P. With that price in mind, I look at what I can buy. My only rule is that anything I buy must be permanent and reusable. For example, I would spend money on a greenhouse for my mobile farm, but never on a one-time autoseed (I know farming games are the worst, but that's the only example I can think of). Unfortunately, most F2P games aren't set up this way. So I really generally don't stick with very many.
