@jsprunk: God of War cereal......hmmmm. I love GoW as much the next guy, but I imagine a cereal that would do the series justice might be unappetizing. I'm thinking the base cereal will be undead minion body parts with severed medusa heads as marshmallows. There would probably also be loosely-packed red dye pieces that dissolved when they hit the milk to form the perfect bowl of carnage.

I look at this like gameplay of the Sims. Do I stand in line and get this on day one at the cost of my wife's tolerance bar going into the red? Decisions, decisions....

Let's also talk about economics for a bit. You want a tablet with controllers that's as powerful as today's latest Android tablets? Your looking at a device north of $1000 for that. And guess what, nobody wants that price point! Look at the Razer Edge Pro. Probably does exactly what you're talking about and you can find it on Amazon for $1300 and it's out of stock on Newegg, so I'm thinking it hasn't been all that successful. So that's why Nintendo doesn't give you "modern tech" for $299. Does this help?
As for the "Switch is for kids" argument, true, it features a lot of games for younger people. But I grew up in the NES era so Mario and Zelda have always been fun games to me. Furthermore, the Switch is getting games like Skyrim, Wolfenstein, and Dark Souls. So believe it or not, an adult can enjoy the Switch.
And finally, "go tell your mommy to give you more juice". Yeah, I'm pushing 40, so....no.
After a series of flops, I can understand why Nintendo is a little gun shy about releasing a higher powered mobile console. My hope is that the 3rd party support for the Switch will lead to the Switch 2 having more power.
@og_gamerzzz: Why would I be mad at Nintendo? That doesn't even make sense. I have choices. If I don't like Nintendo's products, I won't buy them. There's no need for anger. It's an emotion that doesn't even make sense in this context. For example, I don't care for the Kardashians, so I don't watch their shows. But I'm not mad at them.
I really like the Switch. I wish it was a little more powerful and 1080 resolution, but otherwise, I really like it. Nintendo owners know exactly what the hardware can and cannot do. It's not like the wool was pulled over our eyes and we're forced to buy a product that doesn't live up to our expectations. Is this starting to sink in?
