@Flyin3lvl: With GTA 5 or Destiny, the only thing that's streaming to servers is data like character position and gun firing data (and other relevant information). The console is still doing all the processing work.
In other words, when you press the shoot button, the console processes the shoot command, renders the appropriate animation and displays it on your TV while simultaneously telling the server that you shot your gun. With a service like PS Now, when you press the shoot button, the shoot command goes to a computer likely hundreds of miles away and then sends a video feed of you shooting your gun and, via streaming, displays it on your TV. In truth, if a TV was capable of connecting to a controller (and connecting to the Internet), you wouldn't even need a console for streaming.
So for every calculation and animation, you've now added the time to move data back and forth from the servers, which could be slowed down by any number of connection bottlenecks along the way.
There's basically no reason to stream games. It would require far less data transfer to just download the entire game to the console, play it, and if the player stops paying for the service (or the console can't connect to the internet to verify the service is active), the console automatically deletes the game.
I reluctantly accepted articles about movies and TV shows, but I really don't need to see pro-wrestling articles. What's next? NFL coverage? Recaps of Jerry Springer episodes? Analyses of any one of a thousand terrible reality shows (most of which are on MTV)?
