@DoomSky: If I could like this a googleplex number of times I would. One of my favorite CoD modes was offline training with bots on Nuketown with the bots set to Recruit. The challenge wasn't being the best of the bots (which was inevitable), it was personal bests such as highest K/D ratio I could put together or how fast I could get the killstreaks, etc.
Even though it was artificially created, playing that way gave me a sense of awesomeness that was the polar opposite of playing online. Since I work for a living (and don't have the reflexes of a 13 year old), there was very little fun playing against human players who play 30 hours a week. And I hear the "experts" say that I should put in the effort to get better.....
....or I could just have fun. That's what I remember video games were for.
I really dig Chris Roberts' vision for this game and it's exciting that he's able to do it without a publisher making all the decisions. But at the same time, you owe it to your backers to actually release some semblance of a complete game soon. A good leader understands what scope creep is and how to manage it.
In previous games, hiring workers was simple key/button press. Will we have to choose which gender of worker to hire now or will it be at random? I'd prefer random myself.
I will definitely own this. Not that I need it, as I have the Wii U already, but there's just something cool about it. Would look good on my desk at work.
To me, input lag is a good word for when I watch 2 kids play video games and 1 of them starts flipping out because he "totally ^%@!!@ pushed the kick button!!!" in a loud, whiny voice. Couldn't be because the other kid was better. No, it must be input lag.
