No, WiFi is NOT built-in. You still must purchase the $99 MS wireless adapter.

It is relevent because Elites include the cable, but as far as I know... the HDMI Pros don't. So, comparing theElite to the HDMI Pro, the extra 100 gets you the cable ($50) and the 120GB HD ($180) aside from the obvious color difference. I also beleive the Elite comes with the digital audio bypass and the Pro does not.

Definately roll with 08. Sooo much better. The bad reviews are really wrong. At the time though there were significant bugs that shouldn't have been there... but the 2 patches since have fixed it completely. I love it. Challenging enough to drive you nuts on some of the Tiger Challenges, but never too hard where you want to give up. The best thing is that it's not too easy. Hated that in earlier versions... in one weekend I'd have a maxed player and would always hit perfect shots.

It is the newest and most quiet drive according to places like Team XBox and Gizmodo.

MOH: Rising Sun. Only game I wanted to cash in at Gamestop, but it was a gift... so felt too guilty doing it.

Not all elites are Falcons. Do the typical checks on the side of the box and it will really improve your chances (Team, build date, wattage, lot number etc).

I was very careful and went to multiple stores before finding a Team FDOU, 175W box with a higher lot number (741 and up). While it doesn't guarantee sucess - the hit rate with that combo is like 85-90% Falcon with the new BenQ drive.

By itself it pretty darn quiet... but still sounds pretty loud when playing off of game discs... not too loud to be annoying, but noticeable.

I've had no issues at all with it. It's kinda pricey, yeah... but worth it.

Falcon is the "codename" for the newer, thinner chips that run much cooler. They also use less power. Do a quick search on Google or the TeamXbox forums to learn more about how to pick out the latest consoles. Definatelybuy it from a store that moves inventory quicklyas well (BestBuy, Gamestop/EBGames, etc).
