I wouldn't hold much hope of them changing the character model after all the beta stage of game development is meant for bug searching not for adding more or changing content, that would be alpha. Or even before that, the only reason for them to change the models I guess would be to hold off ruining the whole "That guy looks cool" thing when you first see them in the real final product.

Looks good, but I bought a 9800GTX a few months ago and I would perfer to wait for next generation after this to upgrade. I would have liked GS to do a bit more tests in Crysis at different reses and such.
To mattthebrown. You are missing the point, they are not trying to justify or even reccomend SSD's HDD's for the PS3 right now. It was just an experiment, a "lets see" sort of thing.
I dont normally like to comment on system wars like stuff because it is for 12 year old kids who can only get 1 console. But I believe that the PS3 problem is only in multiplatform games. PS3 exclusives looks way better than multiplatform games on the system and I think I know why. It rings a bell that I saw an interview with a dev that stated that most games are developed for the 360 and are then ported to the PS3 which given the PS3 complected architecture is not an easy job therefore it is easier to lessen the load than it is to optimise it.
Anyone else noticing a recent trend where there is little to no difference in performance between RAM and CPU types at higher settings? Seems that there is much heavier reliance on GPU nowadays, although this could be because the benchmarks I have looked at are not real gameplay but stress tests.
Microsoft is really doing this the ultra-hard way. Making the emulation software one game at a time is going to take them years to have full BC. Also they aren't making the right games thier top priority, where is UC2, is it hiding behind Frogger and Barbie Horse Adventures?
