4GB 1333Mhz DDR3
EVGA 795i Ultra
EVGA GTX 295 Superclocked
I have tried running Far Cry 2 with everything maxxed and I'm getting about 40fps on average in the opening sequence, this is at a res of 1920x1200. I tried Crysis as well and it is smooth but it dips down to low fps a low fpsa lot. Batman AA run at over 100 frames.
Looking at benchmarks I should be getting nearer the 80 fps mark in Far Cry and a solid 50 odd in Crysis. On the other hand my CPU could be limiting my performance, what do you think?
Finshed ODST this morning. I got it last night but only played a single level as I had other stuff to do. Anyways it is a good game I actually had more fun playing it over Halo 3, and that's not some crazy fan boy opinion just because its the new Halo game. I honestly think it was more fun than Halo 3. Sure it doesn't have the massive set pieces like in other Halo games and only runs around 4-5 hours but at no point are you bored or dreading particular parts of the game.
You play as multiple characters throughout the game through a series of flashbacks triggered by key items that you inspectas the main protagaist. The base of the game is spent in a semidestroyed and deserted New Mombasa6 hours after you and your squad are dropped in on an extraction mission, you are knocked out when your pod crashes and wake up to find your squad missing so most of the time you are tracing the theirsteps trying to catch up with them. Anyway it serves the purpose of driving the story and gives the flexibility to offer very different senarios in quick succession. The story itself while not ground breaking is good enough to keep you interested and there are some bits here and there vertern Halo players will pick up on.
Don't really want to be writing a full review here so I will just say that if you are expecting a full blown Halo game then you might be a little dissapointed. This is Halo bitesized. To be honest pricing the game at full retail price is a bit of a crap move by Bungie, since they know we will buy it anyway and they have sort of tried to justify it by including a second disc with the full Halo 3 multiplayer on it. But if you are playing ODST then odds are that u have Halo 3 so it is kinda a waste.

Here is the pic as promised. I only went back there today to pick up Uncharted 2 and Brutal Legend (win)
I also hate quitters, most annoying in rock band/guitar hero games. So annoying when I get a perfect start and they just quit because they are rubish.wigan_gamerIt is worse when they pick hard or expert and fail. Just pick medium its no big deal, I would perfer playing with a guy on medium that to a crappy guy on expert and failing.
