While not too similar, i think you may enjoy KOTOR since it does have a great story, character modification, and guns. Though they are not similar due to fallout being non-linear and KOTOR in a sense being linear.

Just out of curiosity do you buy multi-plat games for the computer or for the console that you own more? Mind you that means that your computer would be able to run the said game on medium-high setting. Or do you buy the game for both, console and computer? Why?
