@umster Ugh. turn based combat is not the sole defining aspect of Final Fantasy. FF was renown for it's amazing stories and side-stories/maps/items and item/level up system. My god people, things change, get used to it.
@Valkyrslayer @A_Rabid_Dog @treepop99 Whiny-voice bitch was used to describe vanile, of whom i forgot the name of at the time, and now have to try and forget all over again.
@Fiscaldeal @A_Rabid_Dog @Valkyrslayer @treepop99 I played through the first game, tried to stomach the second game. The only people that had emotion were the supporting characters. Lightning was as ever dull as a brick.
@Valkyrslayer @A_Rabid_Dog @treepop99 No. 1000 times no. Cloud and Squall, and even Tidus had actual emotions. Lightning had as much emotion as kristen stewart. I never saw Lightning smile, except in sadness. Cloud and Squall at least had a love interest, same with Tidus who was more energetic than the other two.
@treepop99 I agree for the most part, but the turn-based-combat will not help it sell anymore. It was a novel idea back in the day, but Final Fantasy can still be Final Fantasy without that. They DO need to focus on a likable main character (NO ONE GIVES A **** ABOUT EMO CHICK LIGHTNING), likable side characters (whiny-voice bitch from 13 that i did my best to forget anyone?), open exploration with pleanty of side-story stuff, and a brilliant and thoughtful main storyline. That's all they need for a good FF game.
@Dragdar It really is a shame that there are people stupid enough to fuel this disaster of a console. By buying this POS, they only contribute to micro-transaction-soft by telling them this is all ok as long as they dangle shiny games in front of them.
