This. Almost all Presidents are disliked in their own time. History tends to vindicate most.

I can't think of one good thing Bush has done aside from giving Jon Stewart his best jokes.

Quite a good movie.

Interestingly enough, Andrew Stanton, who beat it for the Oscar with Finding Nemo, was heavily influenced by its lack of dialogue when he made WALL-E.

[QUOTE="Samwel_X"]If you seem to recall I brought up a thread when the voting began and got people to vote... I was too disappointed with the final 100 to bring the results. There are some awesome films there... but also some horribly misplaced ones.sammyjenkis898

I remember. I think the whole list is awful. Don't get me wrong, the movies on here deserve to be on here, but not in that order..

It's useless to argue about the ordering of lists. Usually, the movies next to each other are so close that if you asked for votes on a different day the structure would be entirely different.

Oh. Well, you're still wrong. Behold! The Funky_Llama Two-Step Plan for Avoiding Evil! 1. Create people who are infallibly good; 2. Give them free will.

See? Great, isn't it. If only God had thought of it.

That is not logically possible....

That's like taking the walls down around a prisoner and strapping him to the floor so he can't leave anyway.

Oh, no. 1 was a boring, generic disappointment.

super_mario_128

It's deserving of its praise though.

Depends on what praise you mean. That it's the best movie ever? I disagree. That it's an all-time classic and one of the best movies ever. I agree. I liked it, though I'm not as huge a fan as everyone else seems to be...

No film is the "best film ever."

[QUOTE="A_Tarkovsky"]Why does everyone assume God is a "being." :?Funky_Llama

You're a pantheist?

*Googles strange word*

Well, it's closer to my beliefs than the idea that God is an old dude who flies through space.

More specifically, I view God as unexplainable during my lifetime. He's prevalent in everything, though, and I'd say it's what links our souls together (if you believe in a soul, that is...I do).

If I'm right, I'll find out when I die. If I'm wrong, then who cares?
