Why do you want to hype it AAAAE? You're just increasing the probability of a flop, which such a simple fun game doesn't deserve. Given how much we've seen, it's obviously AA, with the potential to get AAA (or AAAA), but it doesn't deserve such hype.

I'm giving it AAE. It deserves to exceed hype, not be scrutinized for flopping.

The amount of fucks given about Captain Toad flopping is negative. We don't care. He's just gonna fucking do his thing cause he's a boss and his game is going to rock.

Our boy is fucking ready for adventure and we're gonna support him. Look how many fucks he gives

I got to put in some hours into the game and while I like the feel, personally, the stages suck. There aren't enough levels with just platforms with no other hazards. I find it incredibly bothersome. The game needs an Alpha version of every stage where everything except platforms are removed in addition to the omega version. We could pretty much only use 5 stages in 6 hours of playing yesterday. I'm not someone who refuses to ever play with items or stage hazards but sometimes you wanna have a match that isn't just shit everywhere.

2nd place currently locked by Nintendo it seems.

Naw, by the holidays X1 will be second. I wish Nintendo could pick up a little third party support though. I would like to own more than Nintendo games for the system retail wise. Well I suppose that's why I always get the PS system every gen anyway.

@ocidax: Then why is there a 3DS version?

I don't know how to dumb this down for you people

If Street Fighter 4 on 360 had different stages and a different OST than the ps3 version , would you call it an exclusive ? Nope. They play the same and basically are the same game.

Smash 4 is the same damn game on both systems. Changing modes doesnt mean its a whole new game. It means theres a gimped version, and a not gimped version. No one ever said a multiplat had to have the same exact content. We have plenty of multiplats where one has shit graphics and less modes than the other. SSB is no exception

The way the games are designed matter because in something like SSB the stages are a very relevant part of the design. Battles play out differently depending on the stage and many of them have different mechanics that have to be learned and taken advantage of. The characters being the same is the biggest argument for it being multiplat. But in terms of stages, music, content and modes (which matter in smash because again it causes the games to play out extremely different) the games are very different.

Half the Content and some of the music is shared.

The core mechanics of the fighters, including how they hit, what hit them, how they react, points of attack, how they roll, their movesets (etc.) are the exact same as the 3DS version. Having 8-players or a bunch of crap flying in the background of a stage does not make them different games. Having to hit a sack is not enough to make them different games.

The games are actually connected and you cant ranfer characters of certain movesets through to the Wii u version.

Some of the modes are pretty much the same.

Stages don't change anything. Probably the biggest and only difference between the two versions is graphics and the fact the 3D is not a gamecube controller with a screen.

Where's the real difference betweent he two games? they already pretty much confirmed the 3D version determined like what half the Wii u version would do.

Stages are important for Super Smash bros. Besides the characters themselves it's the most important aspect of the game :/ Have you ever played SSB before?
